Is it normal for guys to jokingly pretend to flirt with their guy friends and make jokes about having sex with them when they have a girlfriend?

My boyfriend often makes jokes like these with his friends, but the thing that especially bothers me is that I think he is bisexual, (since he's admitted to having attraction towards guys,) and one of the (male) friends he jokes with is someone he used to "like." The fact that he is bisexual isn't what's bothering me since I'm accepting of that, it's just the fact that he jokes about sex with members of a gender he is attracted to. He likes girls and guys and I wouldn't want him to be joking about sex with any girls lol. We are both christians so he doesn't believe in actually dating or having sex with a man, but still makes these jokes. He doesn't even identify as bisexual since he doesn't want any label, and wants to only date and marry girls, but the jokes with his friends still seem to bother me.

Superb Opinion

  • It's uncommon.
But honestly I wouldn't worry about it.
This is humor not anything more.
Jealousy tends to indicate a lack of security in the relationship.
So if you are feeling threatened by this then talk with him and see if there's some way for you to feel more secure in the relationship, preferably without interfering with his other relationships, whatever their nature might be.

The thing is that his relationship with you exists independently from his relationship with anyone else.
It is *you* and *your* actions that makes him like you or not.
And *that's* what's within your control.
    So focus on that.
