I strongly believe that sex for older adults is just as common, and just as satisfying, as it is for younger adults. I know several people around me, my neighbors and relatives near or above 70 years are active, and enjoy fulfilling sex lives. Older adults are having more sex than we think, at least once a week and they are “very happy.” They have positive attitude toward sexuality, and they are having a very happy relationship with their partner and family and friends. Because of much disciplined lifestyle, they are physically and mentally healthy. Some people are sexually less active only if their partner is suffering from joint pain, or if they have diabetes, coronary heart disease, or depression. Because of online shopping and other facilities, they have access to a number of medications to treat their fatigue and erectile problems. Now the expectations of older adults are different from what they had few years back. Sex is a powerful emotional experience and a great tool for protecting or improving health and that is why it is certainly not only for the young. The need for intimacy is ageless. As an older adult, they are wiser than they were in their earlier years, and know what works best for them when it comes to their sex life. Older people often have a great deal more self-confidence and self-awareness, and feel released from the unrealistic ideals of youth and prejudices. And with children grown and work less demanding, they are better able to relax and enjoy one another without the old distractions. They can do to compensate for the normal changes that come with aging and enjoy an exciting time to explore both the emotional and sensual aspects of sexuality. Personal relationships – 30 to 40 years of married life is of greater significance, and sex is an important way of connecting. They know that a good sex life can add years to their life. They reap the benefits of experience. A positive attitude and open mind can go a long way toward improving your sex life as you age. They are honest in expressing their feelings because of trust on their partner and ultimately they have nothing to hide or lose. Few years back sex was a taboo subject, now they can talk openly about their needs, desires, and concerns with their partner. This social change brings them closer—and helps them to enjoy sex and intimacy. T V and social media is also playing major role in it.

I don't think about it because it sounds gross, which is related to how out of shape most people are. But depends upon what "old" is. When I was younger, I'd think 55 is old. I don't feel old, so it may be a mental thing. As far as I know, sex is the most athletic exercise many people will get, so proably good for them. good for complexion as well.

To update. We see our parents and interactions. So they like never show anything sexual infront of us, so when we see older couples we assume they are like our parents. It becomes a surprise to see old people talk or think about sex.
