Why are mainstream tv series or movies so worried to show an average size penis?

This thought crossed my mind after the third episode of Sex/Life in which there is a full frontal nude male scene. The guy has a huge one, probably it’s even a prosthetic one or worked with CGI, I would say 8/9inches soft (I mean, in my point of view that big is not even that pleasant to see, but that’s not the point). Maybe in this tv series there was a logic behind this kind of choice, but I guess that something even smaller when soft would have been impressive. Average flaccid penis size is around 3 inches, average erect size is around 5,5: tv series and movies are more and more engaging themselves in body positivity, in showing differences and the acceptance (hairy, curvy girls etc.), why do they still have some kind of problem in representing and portraying average penises? I remember this also in Euphoria, almost all big ones, and in mainstream products it’s difficult to remember many movies with not big penises. What do you think is the problem when we come to that?
I think things should change under this point of view, even because there is a lot of misinformation between young girls on what are the real average sizes. What do you think?

  • Media and/or especially Hollywood are all fake and only a projection of fantasies for the target audience (not straight males anymore) to escape. Therefore, if they are projecting huge penises into women’s minds there is an insidious reason for it such that they must recognize that women dream of a whopper per revenues and thus ever penis question ever asked on here or anywhere is answered with that.

Note: anyone watching or taking the media serious anymore is borderline mentally retarded.

  • Because woman rights and black people rights are hot nowadays but men rights are not. So, tv channels and movie studios don't care about those. They make what sells and 'average penises on screen' don't sell.
They don't care about women rights and black people rights either. They just do it because it sells.

    • Yes, I perfectly know that they represent what sells. But you don’t sell a product on the size of penises shown, even because, generally, no one knows that it will happen until they appear. So I don’t see the reason to not make a more realistic representation as for woman’s body. You can sell a product because of the subjects, because there is sex or violence inside it, but no one cares if a penis shown is more or less big as if a pubes is hairy or shaved

    • Maybe it makes the scene more dramatic or funny. I don't know. They do whatever the hell they want. Nobody's gonna ask why they did it.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • No woman wants a tiny ("average") 5 to 6 inch dick.

I'm also 99% sure this isn't a woman actually asking this question. Women don't want small dicks like that, but they DEFINITELY do not ever talk about dick size, to begin with. (Which is why most men wouldn't know what they want.) I bet you money this isn't a woman asking this.

    • Just because I’m asking why there is body positivity and inclusivity for one sex and not for the other I shouldn’t be a female? And, by the way, if you say that 6inch (upper average) is small, you’re just a troll. Most women will be happy with that, maybe a bigger can turn on more, but not all girls are made to take huge penises; the majority of them are okay with average sizes. By the way, talking about penis size, yes, women don’t care so much as you guys, because it’s not that important as you think, but some girls talk about penis size as well (maybe in a different way from guys)

  • by the amount of women that complain about seeing dicks it is very unlikely that those same women would want to see dicks that are not of something substantially impressive. i think it is very unlikely that any show will ever show an average penis nude scene

  • I think they should be straight forward and stop hiding things I guess I have and average size penis or a little bigger fully aroused now that you mention it

  • I think male genitals shouldn't be showed in tv Shows

  • Because almost everyone is more concerned about the female body acceptance movement.

  • They also won't show Female Genitalia either.
