Do you think that we are no longer going to be able to teach biology because it might offend trans and non binary people?

Okay 10 years ago if you were to say that only women get pregnant and get periods that would have been as obvious as a statement as saying the sky is blue. Now it is controversial to say it because people feel as if it excludes trans and non binary people. Now when you talk about pregnancy and periods it’s no longer women who get pregnant and have periods, it’s people who get pregnant and have periods. Now if you say to someone that the reason trans men and non binary people have periods and get pregnant is because they still are biological women you are misgendering them and being a bigot. I mean I don’t know how people are going to be able to teach biology anymore. I mean it used to be an accepted fact that there were biological differences between men and women. I mean men have XY chromosomes and women have XX chromosomes, men have penises and women have vaginas, men have prostates and women have uterus's. But now saying that is offensive. I mean you can no longer say that there any differences between men and women and that biological sex is real. Now it seems the correct thing to say is DNA doesn’t determine if someone is a man or a woman, what they choose to identity as determines if they are a man or a woman. I mean I have even heard someone say that erectile dysfunction commercials that say “men who experience erectile dysfunction” should replace it with “people who “experience erectile dysfunction”. I mean I was just recently called a transphobe on two occasions for saying that women don’t have penises and that only women are born with a uterus. I also understand that science changes, but people are wanting science to change not because of new evidence, but because of their own personal feelings. I mean I get that trans people and non binary people feel excluded by biology but I don’t think that the basic and fundamental definitions of it should be changed just because of the feeling of exclusion.

  • Bruh... taking the transgender part of it aside. You completely forgot about intersex people. Also, even as a biological woman you can be born without part or all of your reproductive organs.

One in 4,500 women worldwide have Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome, a condition that causes the uterus to be underdeveloped or absent.

  • Nah. I think this trans-trender stuff is on the decline nowadays. The far left have taken it too far.

  • Scientist don’t care about your sjw politics. We teach science. If you don’t learn it, you fail.

    • Um did you not read my question?

    • Yep. Did you read my response? It doesn't matter what you think. You are attending school to learn a subject. The teacher is going to determine the content of that class and teach it. There are subject matter standards that you have to hit, but at the end of the day biology classes are taught by biologists, not by people with gender studies degrees. You might have a tranny sympathizing art teacher or literature teacher, but science teachers don’t play that game. Kids can come in and deny the facts and answer wrong on tests and they will get marked wrong and fail. It’s pretty simple.

    • I know because I was certified to teach all biology related courses, all chemistry related courses, and all computer science related courses based on my education… I taught several science course and ran the computer science club at an A+ rated STEM focused school with biotechnology and IT academies for a year while I was looking for a good job. Everyone in my department were hard core scientists. Most had a Ph. D in their area of specialization. There was no SJW or commie shit ever mentioned…

  • Whilst I respect everyone's opinion, I have no intention of changing my own, or how I express it.

  • Mostly it seems to offend conservatives, especially the facts of evolution.

  • I agree with your analysis. Scientific facts trump feelings.

  • I think this insanity will only go on a little while longer and then the adults in the room will put a stop to it.

  • not all trans agree with that--one hates how crazy the activists are.

  • Probably but the the liberals want to teach nothing and give everything away for free, all that happens in starvation and eventually death then it starts again with 'that wasn't real communism'
