Ladies (and gents I guess) ever had a UTI?

This is my first. Never had one before. It burns when I pee. And I feel like I have to go constantly. I was lucky enough to get a virtual visit but when I called the pharmacy the automated system said it would be ready at 8:40. I showed up at 8:30 to pick it up; pharmacy closed at 8:00. 😒

I had a crushed urethra when I was 19 and it had to be surgically repaired. The subsequent scar tissue allows bacteria to gather and causes UTIs. I used to only get them every few years but they have become more frequent and I have had 4 this year. I have to see a doc and have him take a peek next week.

I had it once and it was so painful and uncomfortable. My pee was bloody. It lasted for few days

Yes I have, girl if the doctor gave you that one time pill, do not use it! It gave me a yeast infection afterwards and the doctor confirmed it does that because it wipes away the vaginas good bacteria. Definitely try to get your hands on organic cranberry juice with no added sugars

Thanks for the advice! I did get the no sugar added cranberry juice. And it’s a 3 day 6 dose pill.

It might have been that actually. It’s been a few years. The yeast infection pill was a one time pill.

Hubs had one out too soon. Putting it back in was a nightmare. His sphincter did not want to open up. God bless nurse Rico is all I have to say. He was a trooper.

Fun fact: I have NEVER purchased or had to purchase a condom before in my life. Wouldn't even know where to begin. Don't even know what size I am or what brand or anything. I just have to hope the lady could sort it all out when it comes.

Yeah I remember there being bowls of condoms in the lunch hall back in high school. I don't tend to have a stance on a lot of things: I have no take on abortion because I lack a womb, I have no take on importing immigrants because I am myself the son of one even if she wasn't from a third-world country, I have no opinion on decriminalizing hard drugs because I am not a pharmacist. But I 100% do not support giving condoms to kids. Abstinence education all the way from me.

I went to Urgent care, and said I had a UTI. The Female doctor IMMEDIATELY DISMISSED that, saying "Men don't get those!" She offered no help, but thought it might be a prostrate problem, and she wasn't at all caring, doing the 'exam'!!
A week later, at my first colonscopy, I am diagnosed with stage IIB Colon cancer, and it had perforated my bladder, causing a SEVERE UTI!!

Hey, Sweet Pea, I feel your p-pain. I was catharized, for a big surgery when I was 30, and when I woke up, (I didn't know I had been catharized) and it burned like hell the first time I had to pee. My surgeon, a woman, gave me lidocaine to put on the tip of my penis to stop the horrible burning. I know how that BURNS. Get the meds ASAP

Yeah I've had several bladder infections. The worst part for me is feeling like I need to go every 5 minutes, I never got the burning part of the infection. Thankfully after a day or so on antibiotics that achy bladder feeling starts to get better.
