How would a modern society without sex (before marriage) look like?
Say we lived in a time where people had no sexual urges and hormones making them horny, and that the only time people had sex is when they were wed and trying to make a baby. So a world without promiscuity, porn, unwanted horniness, etc. How different would the world look without cheap, loose, unwed sex? Would it be better, worse, or much of the same?

Considering the two biggest "sins" and vices people engage in is greed and lust, I think a world without cheap loose sex would be SUPREMELY improved over this one. No porn, no porn addiction, no sluts, no simp culture, no women over-valuing themselves, no men spreading STD's around...

I honestly don't like sex as a concept, for the most part. Not that sex is "bad," but it's too over-used, over-valued, and over-exploited and like with many things, very few human beings nowadays know what "moderation" is. The same people who will shame you for being fat and overweight for "eating too much" will not see having too much sex as being equally bad, which is hypocrisy to me. I can't think of too many humans in general that don't have something they overindulge in to the point of it being unhealthy. "Moderation" should apply to most physical things in life, not just food, alcohol, or sex. You know; balance. A sex addict is no different than a food addict or a pothead.

  • We all would be happier. Parents would be more responsible and treat their children with love and respect. Diseases like AIDS would be rare or absent. The same is true for abortions and paedophilia. Men and women would actually respect their own bodies and the bodies of each other.

  • That's an interesting concept. I can't really imagine it, but I guess it would solve a large number of problems, including the over population of earth which is currently the largest global problem that people don't talk about or really even realise.

    • Thanks for the MHO 👍

  • Well for all the good it COULD bring, I also think the world would become very boring. I'm not saying it's right, but people act on their hormones, do impulsive things, and a huge part of our economy is porn/sex driven. If we all start to dress the same, act the same, have no different sexual interests and therefore less different interests in life, it would become a boring place. Maybe it would be for the better, but on the other hand, you don't have to like the people that are that much different then you now but from a certain point of view they do brighten up the place because everyone makes themself far more unique.

  • Well for starters we would probably have a population crisis on our hands and the human race would soon die out. Enjoyable sex is key to the survival of our species.

    • Eh... I disagree with that. Loose sex is only something that's been around for 100 years or so, and the first condom was only invented 166 years ago. Before that, sex was likely to get a lady pregnant, so people weren't having it as recklessly as they do now.

    • Nah. They still had it recklessly and had shotgun weddings or tricked men who weren’t the father into believing they were or went to a god-awful women’s home of shame to give birth and have their babies taken away and put up for adoption.

  • Western society is too unstable right now. But I don't think you can ever get rid of hypocrites. You can only create a situation where hypocrites are more hidden.

  • Well let’s think about it… was society always like this then they would have systems in place for it. If not… the end of everything. Let’s say this period lasted 50 years. No doubt the amount of births would decline… what about all the old people relying on tax payer money to survive? So for a period of 50 years less births meanwhile all the 10+ yr olds are retiring and then we hit the end… everyone born 60+ years ago have died because they couldn’t get financial aid and with no children to repopulate massive population crisis. Not one that can be resolved in a few years it would take decades…

Fun fact. Taxes fix roads so the roads broken down means less distribution of supplies and what can get through gets over priced.

Know what else taxes cover? Medicine. And jobs. And travel.

  • It would be way better. Healthier and happier

  • Like a world run by Robots sounds like a premise for a sci-fi movie

  • Ever lived in an Amish society?

  • People will actually start to think from their brains.
