Girls, Girls who don’t use birth control, what’s your reasoning?

Ladies, I would like to know your reasoning for not using birth control. I’ve used the pill and had an IUD, both gave me side effects. As of now, I don’t use any form.

For those that don’t, do you make your partner or guy wear a condom?

Basically, I just came to the conclusion that I didn’t want to put any of that in my body anymore after trying multiple methods. I grew weary of the weight gain, mood swings, lack of sex drive, and bleeding from the IUD. That doesn’t even cover the potential health risks. When I stopped, my husband was supportive. He offered to get snipped but we’re not 100% sure we don’t want another child, so we held off on that. We started with condoms. He didn’t complain but I know he hated them and I didn’t want him to have to use them. What we do now sounds crazy but it’s worked for over 2 years. Basically he just pulls out and I use a spermicidal gel to kill whatever sperm is in his precum. We figure if I get pregnant (intentional or not), we’ll have the child and then he’ll get fixed.

There just aren’t a lot of good options if you don’t want to be on birth control. I’m hesitant to promote what we use because we’d be perfectly content to have another baby if it fails but so far….. it’s worked perfectly. So take that for what it’s worth. Lol

I don’t think anything is wrong if you’re willing to accept the risk. What do you do then? Just have him pull out?

Depends. Some will pull out. Some will finish in me because they know how well I track my cycles

My reasoning is I have 2 kids and my husband had a vasectomy. I don’t like being on the pill either. Makes me gain weight and a lot of responsibility to remember it.

Birth control is so un-natural
It makes me sick every time I tried it.
Vomiting hair loss weight gain terrible cramps and worst they didn't work for me.
So NO BIRTH CONTROL
If I have to use a condom I use a a female condom as latex male condoms make my vagina swell
Currently I am not using any means of birth control. I was hoping for another child through a donor.

It's wrong if you are not exclusive and you don't know his STD status

Well that's very good you get tested regularly. However testing doesn't prevent you from catching anything. not wearing a condom with someone you aren't exclusive with is like playing Russian roulette. You may not loose on a few rounds but play it long enough and you will. Its Better to be careful and safe. What I always tell people I care about is "do you want to be checking off that box 'HIV positive' on your health papers for the rest of your life?" Another thing I may say "imagine having to tell your family your HIV positive" 😳 Be safe use a condom.

i gave up birth control when i had this boyfriend who wanted mostly blowjobs and after awhile i really got to like it that way... and there's a lot of bad side effects from birth control... blowjobs for me are fun intimate and they do satisfy me... and a guy will never stop you if you want to give him a blowjob.

I don't use them because I don't want to mess up with my hormones and because of all the side effects.
Also, some of the birth controls are really invasive. And I'm not up for it.

And yes, I do make my partners use condoms.

Im not a fan of using birth control since there are natural ways at preventing pregnancy. Plus the pill is one of the reasons my mom ended up with cancer so it's not worth the risk of that for me.

Yes my husband but I'm currently pregnant (baby was planned) so it doesn't matter for me right now if I'm being safe or not

@apple1996 awh congratulations!! 😊 I currently track things. I don’t make the guy use a condom unless he wants. I make it clear I’m not on any form of protection and go with what they are comfortable with.

I was on it but I stopped bc I was gaining weight and had no sex drive I wasn’t happy but off it my sex drive is threw the roof and I’m dropping weight fast and I’m happier then ever

So it's sad but I was told when I was 15 by my doctor due to medical issues that I would have a near 0% chance to conceive a kid. I really want kids so I made the decision when I was around 20 that I would get off all birth control to try to increase my chances. It would not be ideal to have a child so young and single but If the 0% chance happens I will embrace it. I am not an idiot about it so I'm not just going around having unprotected sex with random guys for the most part. But If I decide to go no condom with a guy I always ask him to cum inside me.

No, as long as you are being reasonably safe/know the risks. I personally try to just use my best judgement with guys when I don't use condoms so that I reduce the risk of STD's, I only hookup with nicer guys anyways so I have been clean so far. So make sure that you are prepared for a kid. Also have frequent testing done.

I was exposed to chemical when I was eight that made me start reacting to random things. Example tire stores and pain meds and lots more. Yes, condoms. I literally only started birth control this week to treat a serious medical condition. No choice nothing else was working.
