I never tried to sneak out aside from once when my mom said I couldn’t go with her somewhere. She tried to leave me at my grandparents so i snuck out to the car while she was in the bathroom. I laid on the back floor quietly the whole ride there. Then I popped my little head up and said SEE I KNEW YOU’D TAKE ME WITH YA! Lol i was only age 5 so she couldnt deny how adorable I was. And she sure as heck wasn't gonna turn the car around to take me back. I had one job yo… and that was to cockblock whatever dude she was tryna go see.

As a teen, my mom allowed my boyfriend to visit while she was at a meeting, as long as he left before dark. I was one of those oddly brutally honest teens. I did this because it worked. If I explained exactly what I wanted to do, how I was going to do it and that I would be obeying their rules.. I never had a problem. It also bled into my friends lives. They were all male growing up. If I was going then anyone could go. I was like the same-age chaperone. I didn't do any of that. I stood up to my parents at an early age and told them the truth. They didn't like it but they did respect my ability to make grown up decisions.
I can say hand on heart I never let them down. Except for the time I got arrested for having sex outside a cinema... We had no idea the exit doors would suddenly fly open and streams of people would vacate the premises. BUT from memory I think that was the only time.
