If done correctly, anal sex should feel great. But that doesn't mean you won't feel discomfort when it happens and you should expect it.

Your anus needs to be lubed before it's penetrated since the anus could not lubricate itself. If you don't lube up, the tender flesh inside the anus can tear during penetration and that would be very, VERY painful.

Make sure your sphincter relaxes when the penis or dildo goes in. Relax and don't squeeze your butt when it happens. If not, this could also lead to tears and the session won't be as pleasurable.

And you will bleed after the first few times. When it happened to me I was scared shitless (no pun intended), but eventually it stops happening.

In short, use lube, relax, have your partner take it easy, and don't freak out when your rectum bleeds if this is your first time doing it.

I think most girls find their first anal to be pretty uncomfortable. It’s a totally different feeling and it hurts. How much depends on the guy, the prep, the speed, the lube, the communication, the position. Once you’ve done it and know what to expect and adjust it definitely gets better. It still may take a few times before you really get to enjoy it but any pain becomes sorta irrelevant. I won’t say it disappears but it’s nothing like the first time when you’re almost screaming. Doesn't quite work like that. There's no rectal memory, nor does the hole slacken. Think of it as taking a poo, some days you pass massive logs no problem others you wince to pass tiny pellets. The key to it hurting less is to relax and as you get more experienced you'll relax more.
