Do guys ever reminisce about girls they have been with, or is that purely a girl thing?

  • There's only one former girlfriend that I reminisce about. I think about her a lot. Petra was a 5'2", blond, German national who had been brought to the U. S. as an infant. She fit my physical ideal but was also hypersexual, orgasmic and uninhibited. I liked everything about her as a person, as well, and we had great times together. I actually loved her with my heart and soul, and she loved me.
I lived with her for over a year when I was 36-37 and she was 30-31. I had girlfriends from the time I was 16, but had the best sex of my entire life, by FAR, with her. I doubt if anyone ever had more amazing sex. We both worked full time but had sex at least twice a day and sometimes for hours at a time without pause. She's the only woman that I came inside sometimes 4 or 5 times over a period of a few hours without ever pausing to rest or recharge. And that's because her looks, movements, sounds, enthusiasm and encouragement were so inspiring.
That year or so with her was a peak period in my life.

We separated for reasons that are hard to explain. It had nothing to do with meanness or cheating or anything. I got married a few years later. My wife and I have now been married for 25 years and I couldn't have a better wife, partner and best friend.

Petra found me on Facebook 20 years after we split. She was living out of state. We spoke on the phone a few times and her voice brought back all the memories. She had turned out to be an amazingly bright and informed woman and her Facebook posts were mind expanding. I was content to be in touch with her, and to know that she was happy and pursuing her dreams.

Five years later, I read that she had passed away from a sudden medical problem at the age of 56. I was devastated. There is a hole in my heart that will never heal. I think about her often and sometimes visit her Facebook page the way someone visits a grave, just to talk and tell her how much I still love her.

I wouldn't trade my wife for anything. But my time with Petra was special. I am eternally honored and grateful to have met and been loved by her.

  • Yes guy's will think about girls in their past. It may be something they really liked about them or they may be thinking if only she was different in a certain way. What could have been.

What Girls & Guys Said

  • Occasionally, but not very often. We're mostly focused in the present and the future, not so much about the past.

  • Of course there are many guys who occasionally think about women from their past.

  • Now and then, I think of old girlfriends. Kind of wonder where they are now and wonder how their lives have gone.

  • Sometimes but not often.

  • In what way? Reliving the sex? Just thinking about them once in a while?

    • I suppose in any sense really, the sex, the relationship...

    • I never relive the sex but, they all DO pop into my head once in a while. I tend to have a really good memory because I use past experiences as time associations so, in some cases, I NEED to remember them to be able to remember other things I need to remember. They've also been a very big part of my life so, it's KINDA hard NOT to remember them.

  • I do at times. I look back how my ex's have positive impact on my life, how they changed me to become a better person, and yes, how awesome sex is with 2 of them - even if one of them cheated on me.. lolI mean, it's part of my past, my life, my memory. We had a good time together back then. I would be lying if I say I don't think about those times.

  • When I was younger I sometimes reminisced about girls I had been with (meaning I was stroking to the memories). However today, not so much

  • I never talk about it with anyone before I joined GaG.

  • If you truly loved someone you never forget them. EVER. Old memories are replaced by new ones, but the old ones don't just disappear.

  • Yes, I always remember how horrible they were.

Either because nobody else wanted to be with such person, or simply for how easily they would quit.

I think people these days are quite confused about what life and dating is about.

  • only when i'm masturbating alone if my wife is working a lot of nights or traveling

  • Yes. To this day I still remember Lindsey that had the tightest fckn pussy ever😣 could only hold it for 20min before exploding in her mouth...

  • Yeah I do that too sometimes.

  • It's a human thing. You'd have to be a robot not to even accidentally reminisce about things in general. It might not be for hours but it could be a few moments of thought.

  • sometimes

  • If there was something memorable about them of course

  • not just a girl thing. remorse is a human thing.

    • The reason I asked is while I assumed they did I married a guy on the spectrum, and when I asked him about it he looked at me like I was crazy and said no, that once he was done he was completely done, and guys didn't Think about that stuff. Hence the confusion

  • I understand that it is a memory and is history.

  • Nope men do it too. I do it often in fact. mostly when masturbating... ;)

    • What about you? Do you do this too? if so when?

    • Usually it's a place or something that causes me to think about it, a place, a smell, a song etc less about the sex more about the sentiment but in saying that if I pass somewhere that I did get nailed I def think about the sex

  • I do all the time
