Is shower sex as hot as it seems or is it underwhelming?

We had our first time in the shower; we were well prepared mentally and planned for it before marriage. We usually enjoy it every Sunday, but it is not just for sex, we help each other to shave down there, do some naughty things and enjoy sex. Amazing shower sex is possible with some communication, care, and a little know-how. There are plenty of other things that can make for a pleasurable shower session. But we both believe that it is not for everybody, or as easy and enjoyable as it is usually played in movies.

When you see shower sex on screen, it is hot. But when you are actually doing it, it can also be painful for the woman because it is difficult and different to position for her compared to your usual place, and dries out all that natural lubrication. Having foreplay including shaving each other and doing all naughty things with body parts in the shower is definitely hot and enjoyable. You may scrub each other’s body fully. But it is usually little cramping and you need to concentrate on not slipping or falling because of wet slippery floors. You may come out with broken bones or bruised egos. Probably the safest position is cowgirl in bathtub. A non-slip bath mat is a must. It can be fun and sometimes a little awkward to get into a suitable position without slipping. It is more of fun shag than a romantic lovemaking session.

Sex in the shower in terms of health, is ok as long as you do not get some weird products in the wrong holes - depilatory cream or shampoo or even hair conditioner. Lathering up each other is epitome of romance in the movies, but soap, shampoo, and conditioner can make the shower floor extra slick. They are slippery, but they are not lube, so do not allow them to go there.

Bathrooms have all hard surfaces with corners, it can be tough to find a position where you both are footed enough to not slip and/or fall, and that makes it easy.

Many sex positions can be performed in the shower if you are determined enough, but that does not mean they are all a good idea. In most positions you will need sidebar or a suction shower handle or footrest for extra support during action. Sit and ride works well for P in V. Man will sit on the floor, or on the shower bench or the side of the tub and allow her to straddle in any position that allows for penetration comfortably and hold on to them tight while he take a ride. Cowgirl and reverse cowgirl with any modification are just right in the bathtub and shower.

I would recommend beginning foreplay in the shower, then moving to the bedroom. Yeah, damp sheets are easy to clean and dry and much better than slipping in the shower and breaking something.

I find it annoying and overrated as hell. Its a bathtub at most. It's meant to fit one person, try fitting two people in the shower and it gets unfortably crowded. You gotta take turns under the water rinsing, your constantly reaching around eachother for various bottles and when it's all over you still have to shower cause guess who failed to get clean. Hate it.
