Their virginity enabled them to work on their science.

Superb Opinion

  • This is complete bullshit. I actually met Linus Pauling and his eldest son, Linus Pauling Jr., in San Francisco in the early 80s. I even took a picture of him with my dad. His son looked so much like him it was like a younger clone.

I have no idea why you're trying to spread this misinformation, but some of us have our own working brains, eyes, and ears, and we know how to use them.

Most Helpful Guy

  • Fred Sanger was married and had three children.
Marie Curie was married and had two children.
Linus Pauling was married and had four children.
John Bardeen was married and had three children.

Why do you think they were virgins?

  • This is not true. It does take the prize for most bizarre question though. And I’m pretty sure you’re a catfish. Women just don’t care about random people’s virginity that much.

  • Lol, whatever helps you feel better about yourself.

  • They weren't virgins.

    STOP THESE STUPID SCIENTIST/VIRGIN QUESTIONS!

    • Yes they are virgins!

  • ?

What's your goal for lying? I just looked it up and they've all had children which means they have to have lost their virginity.

  • I don't know about the others but Marie Curie had a daughter a few years before her Nobel Prize so unless she was the frinkin virgin Mary your talking utter crap.

    • So a quick search reveals that they all had children, between them 12 in total, so far from virgin's. What is your agenda here?

  • Nah, they were dedicated. Dedicated people rarely get into meaningful relationships,

It's the sad part of the academic lifestyle. You'll either be a loner and suicidal, or so dedicated you'll have time for nothing else.

  • Seems unlikely since Marie Curie worked with her husband who was co-recipient of the Nobel prize. She also had 2 children.

    • The others are virgins

    • Pauling and Bardeen were also both married with kids. Pretty easy to find... just Google it.
