I don't think it's cheating. My only concern would be budget impact; those things are just ridiculously expensive. Instead of a polymer penis substitute, try repurposing household items for your occasional pleasure. If you don't want to talk about it with him, I'd say don't buy it. There's a lot of great area when it comes to cheating. Personally I'd say that when you feel that you need to hide something like this, it comes too close for comfort to cheating.
