  • It's probably not something you want to hear, but- it varies. Which guy? There aren't a lot of universals. I think the big ones are enthusiasm and open-mindedness, the latter including not only being willing to try new things (and suggest them!), but to hear out his ideas non-judgmentally. NOBODY wants to say "I've always wanted to try [X]" and hear in response "[X]? Eww!" or words to that effect. That's not to say you can't have limits, but an attitude of acceptance and a willingness to compromise ("That may be a bit much; how about we start with [milder version of X] and see how it goes?") will go a long way.
