How would you react if your son told you that his girlfriend cheated on him?

If you found your son crying and he told you that his girlfriend cheated. She was dating another guy at the same time she was dating him and she had kissed him. She also had chatted online with several guys.
What if after some months he told you he will get engaged to that girl?

Superb Opinion

  • I would sit next to him and do what every father does
"This is not the end of the line
it's the beginning don't feel bad cause no one is perfect and we all fail
these are the things that make us stronger inside
also, you're not the first person to experience this sort of relationship and definitely not the last one either
there are over 7 billion people on this plant, so don't worry go out and find a better match
but first, clean your room it smells like a farm"

    • What if he after some months decides to get engaged to her?

    • I would tell him the old poem "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"

Most Helpful Guy

  • I'd try to convince him to reconsider this course of action, as it's a real possibility that she'll fuck him over later and he'll be stuck taking care of a kid that isn't his.

    • Isn't this being judgmental because the fact that she dated several guys at the beginning doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be stuck taking care of a kid that isn't his. Isn't that going too far?

    • his girlfriend cheated That's all I need to go that far. Disgusting behavior should not be tolerated

Most Helpful Girls

  • I would explain to him that she was a slut and that he is better off without her. There are plenty of wonderful women out there and just to be glad to rid of her sorry ass before they got married and it was real expensive to get rid of her.

    • What if he didn't agree and got engaged to her and lived together with her?

    • Well that would be his decision and I would support him. Its not my decision, but I would watch for signs of trouble. I would try to not interfere and accept her slutty ass, regardless how I felt.

    • Do you consider it cheating dating several people at the same time? And online chats? What if she was loyal after this?

  • If she cheated I would put a stop to that engagement for sure.

    • But do you consider it cheating dating several people at the same time? And online chats?

    • Yes. Anything sexual outside of the relationship with anyone but the person you're supposed to be exclusive with is cheating. And dating multiple people at the same time makes her a whore.

    • What would you do to stop that engagement?

  • I would have a living but blunt discussion with him saying "you can't turn a whore into a housewife". And I would make sure he knew the fate of weak men in marriages with slutty women.

    • But is it really slutty dating several people at the same time? (without sleeping with them)

  • I'd say "And this is why you don't trust people."
I would tell him he can only trust me.

    • If he wants to get engaged to her after some months would you try to stop it? What would you do?

    • Everyone told me not to get married but I did it anyway. They were right, she's a cheater, but at least I got to be a dad.
