With the right partners it can be great.

Nobody can tell you what's wrong for you. If the two spouses are genuinely ok with it then why not. As long as there isn't any coercion involved and it's thoroughly thought through with boundaries. Personally I wouldn't do it. I tried once with a guy I was seeing and it turned out awfully.
