Today every school has to raise the gay pride flage for what? I got no problem with men who want to fuck other men as long as they keep there idea's behind the bedroom door. Yet that's not the case, it's like now days a strait man has to have a boyfriend to not be considered a homophobe. I don't care what homosexuals do just keep it in your own personal life don't plaster society with your issues. Like how homosexual men should have the right the bear children when you can't.

If you walked by me on the street, you will have no idea that I'm a lesbian. And the exact same thing can be said for my girlfriend.

Do I own colorful colorful pride things? Yes! But I don't show my pride to rub it in the faces of straight people that I have sex with my girlfriend.

I show my pride because I want to make it normal to see LGBT+ members in public. So people can be free to express themselves. So I can walk down the street or go on a date with my girlfriend just like everyone else.

Look, When you have to wake up every morning to some Gay pride issue. Like why does a catholic school get harassed for not wanting to put up the gay pride flag. It seems that if you don't put a gay pride flag on your front door to your business you are not gay friendly etc... My sexual identity isn't new. Nor is LGBTQ+. You're just noticing it because people are speaking up about it. LGBTQ+ wasn't represented in media for so long. Tv shows and movies are better when people can connect with a character. If all the characters are cis straight white people it's not very representative is it? Variety is good. Different is good.

They are forcing these things on people, through both policy and culture. I used to be enthusiastic about a gay character in show once upon a time, but now they're shoe-horned into everything just to pander to this crowd. The actual content being produced suffers for the sake of "Diversity, Inclusion, and Empowerment." But it's not just content, it's the military, it's corporations, it's schools, it's media, it's governments. They all toxify as they lapped it up.

Because it becomes about *that*, instead of being about the story. Seems like every show now has to have some character monologue a PSA promoting this rhetoric. It can suffer in different ways, some creators are so intense about their messaging that there's nothing else and it's cringe -- it's Bibleman for the DIE crowd. Other times it's corporate virtue signaling shoehorned in to try to appease people, it's intrusive. I remember seeing homosexuality in content growing up, I never thought anything of it, they were just there and it wasn't a big deal, normal people -- the right way to go about it. Now, shows and corporations (and everything else) practically scream at us "Hey, look at this gay (or other trendy identity label) person! See? Look how empowered they are, cool right? We're hip and cool and down with the kids, and if you don't LOVE this then you're a bigot!". The reflex is to call us dissenters homophobes, yet we were all fundamentally accepting of these things until they started being forced down people's throat all across society -- mostly in the last 7 years. As someone who is if anything envious of homosexuals, I want this ideological content gone, I want it to fuck off. All this pandering in support of the DIE crowd is having the opposite effect of making people *less* tolerant of it. But then that's used a signal again that 'everyone's a bigot' and 'omg these people are so oppressed' and they double down on this bullshit and it keeps getting worse.

Reality is in the past LGBTQ characters either weren't shown at all, were the butt of the jokes, or a side character/one that just passes through. There is absolutely nothing wrong with media trying to create content that resonates with a wide variety of their audiences. I'll say it again. If you don't like that don't watch it, there is plenty of media that isn't about or even includes LGBTQ+.

But regardless, there’s a difference between just happening to have main characters like that and specifically doing it for representation. Again, if they wanted positive representation, they blew it by acting like this and now things are going downhill. “There is absolutely nothing wrong with media trying to create content that resonates with a wide variety of their audiences.” Then they should try that instead of trying to create content specifically for one audience and being hostile to others. “If you don't like that don't watch it” Yet, it seems to be smaller proportion of content every day. But that’s not a solution to it. It’s a *bad* thing that the culture is like this. Even if I’m not watching it, I want this ideology and its influence to not be in the same society as I, and if we leave it alone it’s only going to get worse and influence more of society. Then we’re going to see more of the political violence from the DIE crowd like we’ve seen increasing over the last few years.

People weren't being so aggressive psycho about it years ago, and the ideology has only recently evolved and become so pervasive. The first mainstream instance of it was during the Occupy movement and it's grown to be harsher now. So the problem didn't exist years ago because the ideology as it is now didn't exist. It happened forcefully and disproportionately because of an ideology that glorifies them. I want people to be treated the same and this new ideology is against that. Good question. I dont know how having a sexual orientation is an accomplishment either. I don't really announce my sexuality to others. I might post about it on a forum or something like this site... where it's appropriate. Yeah i dont know why minors need to be exposed to sex stuff outside of sex ed.

It's not about sex, it's about being able to openly have a partner of the same sex and a relationship just like anyone else.
