  • If you hadn't eaten anything for 2 weeks - water only - I bet you'd be willing to lie, cheat, or steal to get food. Most men hunger for sex is much the same way a starving person hungers for food. It's almost impossible for most women to understand how profoundly men need sex, and desire it, because women KNOW they can get sex virtually anytime they want it. Yes, I totally get that you don't want "casual sex with just any guy", and I understand why, but the point still remains that you KNOW you can get sex if you really need to scratch that itch, and so it takes away some of the urgency you feel. I know plenty of adult men who go YEARS without having sex. Very few women under 35 go more than a couple of months without it, no matter what.

    I'm not saying it's right that men do that, any more than it would be right to lie, cheat, or steal to get food - but I UNDERSTAND why they do it.

    I don't think there's anything that is quite as universal for women as men's desire for sex is for men. Some women are that desperate for a relationship, and some are that desperate for a child, but I don't think that the majority feel that strongly about either, so I'm not sure - short of being starved of food for a couple of weeks - that most women really have the experience to be able to relate fully to how men feel about wanting and needing sex.

    Men wanting sex is literally the base motivation for everything in the world. Every structure that's been built, every invention, solution, every type of art, every man who gets out of bed to go to a job he doesn't like, etc., is all based on men trying to make women happy (a woman he has or a woman he wants to have) so that he can have sex with her. If men didn't want sex from women (and assuming we could somehow still reproduce), we'd still be living in huts or caves and gathering food as best we could, because eating would be the only motivation. Every other luxury we enjoy today exist because men wanted sex from women.
