If you don't mix with other Italians or live in an area where they are local to you then that may be a bit tricky especially if the other family close by are like "family" it might feel weird to date your neighbours daughter lol. There's no reason you have to date Italian either but if that's what you're attracted to. You need to get on out there... 😊

Not at all, you date the people you are attracted to, just because one of them hasn't been Italian isn't weird at all. There is nothing to say that someone has to date the same ethnicity as them.

well like some have said. its weird i haven't dated them "at least once". And yeah I'm attracted to them but I'm attracted to all races and ethnicities of women. When I was younger I veered away from some do to the pressures of social stigma. But actually it's lessened in just the last 15 years or so so I felt more confident in being adventurous.

@Shihab91 i dont even know what it means to be "American" simply put we dont have a tribe identity. It can be both good and bad at times. But yes like @loves2learn has said we are the melting pot. Too bad so many still focus on the wrong things about others like skin color or gender. But we'll get there someday! ^^

@loves2learn unfortunately i cannot really connect with my irish roots too much. Like I've tried and I'm sorry but their whole like thought process on things, the culture, etc is just too different from Italian culture which is what was really deeply apart of my childhood and so my identity. And it's SOOOO different from what all these Italian Americans are like. Like the energy is completely different and so many Italian Americans are like 4th generation now and really dont know anything about their heritage. It's almost like a twisted irony. I got to really delve in and learn about my culture and at the same time it put me at odds with people in the country i was living in for many years because the way people think is so different. So i often felt like an outcast as I tried my best to adapt.
