I think it depends, if he’s say under 7, it’s irrelevant that he did it. If he’s older he may identify with the female gender. Now about telling his dad, I think it’s good for him to know how is his son behaving. Obviously there shouldn’t be any judgement about it, it’s just what he did, but it’s neither good or bad.
