Contrary to the past, over the last 10 years or so, social attitude to sexuality and particularly homosexuality has changed a lot. I've heard bromances becoming sexual is quite common among young men these days. I'm curious to know if this is actually the case.

When 14 or 15, a friend I had for several years, and I, were playing ping-pong in his family room. Afterward, when sitting in the floor, for some reason, he unzipped his pants, and took his penis out. He had a hard-on and was slowly jacking off, and asked me to take mine out.

Nope, I’ve had platonic friendships with women turn sexual but it’s a lot more rare… for same sex relationships to turn sexual there’s more to it.
You’d have to both express you’re bi at some point AND that you’re attracted/interested in the other person. That could potentially end with your death depending on the guy.
