Many people today still argue that a woman can't rape/assault a man. There's also the belief that if a guy had an erection at any point during the assault, then he must have liked it so it's not rape/assault.
There have also been many cases of female teachers having sexual relations with students and they tend to get away with it or at least get away with it for a while because underage guys assume this is a good thing, that they're cool or something and they're getting sex, so why complain... The problem is that they're being manipulated and being taken advantage.
Most guys don't report because they'll get mocked, nobody would believe them, they're just trying to get attention or they just assume this is normal. They'll get mocked for allowing a woman to overpower them or control them. They must be "weak" or "gay" to complain about getting sex. Especially if the woman is remotely attractive. Guys will also be advised by lawyers on their chances of getting a conviction are very low, because for a guy, evidence of the crime is more difficult to produce than if a woman was in the same position. There's no such thing as a rape kit for guys. The court case ends up being a He Said / She Said situation and for a guy, the odds of winning that type of fight is pretty much nill.
Women who do get charged and found guilty for sexual assault/abuse/rape also tend to get more lenient sentences, like less jail time (if any) or general slaps on the wrist, where guys usually end up with a few years behind bars. Usually some mental disorder or some unfortunate past is used by lawyers to shift the blame for their actions onto others completely unrelated to the crime at hand. Their parents abused her, or she lived in poor conditions as a kid, so she in turn projected that past suffering onto her victim.
Juries, Judges and Public Opinion tend to side with the woman as if they're just as much of a victim as their victim who pressed charges. This all gets factored in and even if found guilty, they get a few months behind bars and sent to some support or therapy group. Most abused men get little sympathy and their troubled childhoods or rough past is usually irrelevant. Women can generally milk the system and society for sympathy far better.
This all isn't to say that men aren't predatory. I acknowledge there's a lot of ass holes out there and deserve to get the full force of the law smashed over their heads... But the statistics don't show the entire picture between male and female abusers, as there are many factors at play in regards to who reports, who has charges placed, and so on. Men have also gotten away with this shit for centuries due to social norms in the past and that much of life was ruled by men who made the laws and enforced the laws. But as times changed and more women, minors and other men speak out, the more of these clowns are caught and punished, giving a clear indication that this crap isn't tolerated anymore (it never should have been) and times are changing.
Unfortunately, the times are slow to change and even slower in enforcing the laws equally. Slow change also exists with us males changing our thinking and speaking out when we're wronged.
In a nut shell, women have an easier time getting away with it and if they don't get away with it, their punishments are almost always less than what a guy would face for the same crime.
And I say all this as a male who was sexually abused by a female when I was a kid. I never abused anybody to this day and I never been abused by another male. I'm just saying this to point out that I have first hand experience in the matter and based on my experience, women can be equally predatory.
Here are a couple of things I believe.
1) Sexual predators aren't motivated by the desire for sex - they are motivated by power. Study after study shows that predators have had very shallow sexual experiences throughout their lives, so the idea is to "conquer" a body, not get into a relationship with it, and most are men. Predators are acting out not just sexual frustration, but a complete lack of personal power and acceptance. They think making someone afraid of them, or forcing someone to submit, is a sign of power.
Women on the other hand desire more emotional connections through sex, and by and large, do not experience the need to conquer or control, but to BE "conquered by love". And where there is love, there's good sex for a woman even if the man is the greatest lover in bed.
2) From a purely practical standpoint, any woman should understand that she can get all the sex she wants pretty much any time she wants it. Yes, men are THAT easy. So there's no reason to be a "predator" when all you have to do is look halfway decent and show up. Men can't do this with the same ease, nor are as many women hunting for it all the time like men are.

Well there are definitely more fenale sex offenders than figures suggest, and some new studies that have confirmed this. Many incidents of females performing sexual assaults are not reported, mainly because people think they won't be believed, and that there is a lot of shame surrounding the victim. I never reported mine as nobody believed me so i didn't see the point, if my friends didn't believe me the police certainly wouldn't, i was also embarrassed that i had let it happen to me.
That said there are definitely more male sex offenders and I think is mainly due to upbringing, environment, mental health and increased hormone activity in males.

there's 2 aspects to it and i don't know which one will mean more in relation to those numbers.
1: female sexual assault towards men is trivialized and goes unreported in the vast majority of cases. same goes for female sexual assault towards children, but i think less so with children.
2: men have a LOT more testosterone than woman, which on the positive side makes them stronger and gives them more willpower to assert themself in an economic environment but on the downside it means they are more horny and more likely to resist the temptation. give women as much testosterone and i bet, the statistics become equal.

well pretty much in the same way as in domestic violence cases. they can successfully use violence because a lot of men are socialized to never be violent towards a woman. so she can throw all sorts of violent abuse at them without ever fearing to be fought back or hurt themself. and those men then also don't report this, cause they technically "could" have defendet themself and people don't take them seriously when they say that this small tiny woman is violent towards them.
