According to a book that I read by Eva Harley, Brown is the least appreciated color in terms of marketing, that's why you rarely see this color being used by companies. Pink on the other side is closer to red in the color wheel, and it's associated with romance, kindness and specially femininity psychological-wise. I personally love brown women with pink underwear, I get instantly hard lol, but I hate brown panties.
