There are certain vibrators that are more powerful than others (so I hear.) A woman could get addicted to a strong vibrating one, and the hand (or penis) will no longer do. That might be an equivalent.
it's not that terrible. once you realize that's just a matter of reconditioning yourself, it's not that big of a deal. of course when you're not prepared for this (like if you're inorant about the effects of masturbation), it can cause severe psychological trauma to the point, where some people who experience that just assume they're asexual.
I guess the equivalent would be using a vibrator too much and not being able to get off from regular fingers or from oral stimulation.

Well I can't say from experience so I can only speculate myself. But I have a friend who goes for larger size toys and she said that she's so used to them she wouldn't go under a certain size because it won't feel like anything to her.
