Like would your erection become more hard if you were getting more turned on?

Not really, no. There's pretty much four settings: flaccid, half-erect, fully erect, and super erect.

Super erect only happens with foreplay, so it's not going to happen just from being turned on.

Half-erect generally only happens as I come down from fully erect, or if I've recently been erect for a long time and can't get another full erection.

When I get turned on, it goes straight from flaccid to fully erect, so getting more turned on isn't going to change anything unless I begin sexual activity. As such, the answer to this question is no.

Sometimes. Its like asking if you get more wet the more turned on you are. Sometimes that is the case, other times you're losing it because you're so into someone but the physical signs aren't there.

So rule of thumb should basically be to assume he is super into you if he is harder than normal, and still assume he is super into you if he isn't.

Erections are a mystery to us too.

Yes and no.

If I'm only partly turned on, and have not yet reached my maximum, yet, then getting more turned on will make me harder, yes. However, there is an upper limit to just how hard a penis can get.

So if I'm already turned on enough to reach that point, and I get even more turned on, it would be physically impossible to get any harder.

Yes, that is true. In erection terms: There is 'hard" and then there is "HHHHAAARRRDDD" I notice that when looking at pornography, and get harder, with what I am looking at.

Most of the time yes, but there is a limit to how hard I can get. It's called tumescence, as the penis goes from flaccid to fully erect.

Yes. That’s my experience anyway. And have more intense orgasms. And produce more semen (although not necessarily more Sperm.). And climax faster, so we need techniques to slow ourselves down to give our lady a chance to reach her own fulfillment.
