Yeah it’s sick. There is this weird double standard still going on about how it’s okay for underage boys to sleep with legal adults but not underage girls.

On one end it’s a definitely a huge bs double standard. Gender equality needs to fit into this as well.

On the other end sex arguably doesn’t have same psychological impact on most boys as it does on girls. For example my brother once got a random BJ from a 30 year old woman when he was 16 after they got in short conversation at a gas station (he was driving my folks van). As far as I know he is not losing sleep over that encounter. Instead he laughs about it.

But if the genders were reversed how would females deal with this? I imagine some would look back with guilty pleasure but others would make a “metoo” story out it for sure.

This issue is sadly very complex. We could make it simple at say it’s statutory despite the gender. Okay makes sense. But the huge lurking variable is most boys react differently to this vs. girls.

I am making assumptions from my observations. Sexual encounters tend have stronger emotional impacts on women from what I’ve seen (especially if they were inappropriate and/or illegal). I know the vast majority of boys that age wouldn’t complain either. But if the roles were reversed I just see more women having second thoughts about it later.
