Nope, it doesn't matter what country you're in, those sizes are never 'watermelons'. The reason you think this is because the majority of women wear too-small cup sizes. So very generally speaking, the girls who wear A and B cups are usually more like DD cups, the girls who wear C and D cups are usually more like F-FF cups (the true average) and the girls who wear DD cups are usually more like G+.

I understand your confusion! Like you I believed most of my life that A = very small, B = small, C = medium, D = large, DD = very large and anything over DD is huge. You can imagine my surprise when I found out that I'm a 26E (like Ariana Grande) after wearing a 32A all my life and being incorrectly fitted as a 32A in multiple stores. Like you I was in disbelief!
