Is 10 sex partners a lot for people who is 30 years old?

I mean I've had twelve and will be turning 30 soon but I first started having sex when I was 19 a few of them have been boyfriends some have been one nighters the rest have been regular partners. I don't really date much but when I have an itch I have someone that can scratch that itch but it doesn't make me a slutty person. I know what I like and won't just lay down with anyone. Doesn't mean that someone shouldn't date me though because of that. There's people out there that have a higher body count by the time they are 30 and you would never know it unless you ask.

I don't think you can reduce it to something as simple as a number -- or quantify sex partners in that way. It's totally irrelevant without context. I mean who's to say? Maybe it's a lot, maybe it's not.

With that many partners it either means they are doing casual sex, or they repeatedly pick the wrong people and make bad decisions. If they have had that many partners I think their future SO should be the one making the decisions in the relationship because obviously they don't make good decisions themselves or learn from past mistakes.

I have been monogamous since 25, but up to 25 yo. I had more than 10, so I don’t think it’s unusual. Sounds like it’s in the average range to me , or am I wrong?

Add the opposite genders in High School and College already exceeds 10 by a few times, not mentioning cousins, Tinder and ONS from clubbing. The bar for 2020 should be 25 at least.

That may be a little more than average, but it's most likely less than one partner a year, which could be reasonable for a single person.

Just a reminder. They did the scientific study. 16 is the magic number. Anyone of either gender sleeps with 16 or more people, you have an 80% chance of relationship failure for the rest of your life.
