I want to become pregnant but I dont ovulate after birth control. Anyone tips or advice?

My doctors appointment is in a month so i stil have to wait to get examined.

I have stopped birth control for 6 months. I've tried ovulationtests but they were all negatieve and i take folic acid tablets.

But i was wondering.. is there anything else i can try while i wait to go to the doctor?

Thank you in advance!

Superb Opinion

  • As soon as you stop taking birth control you should begin to ovulate quute quickly, that doesn't mean you can get pregnant quickly even if you have started to ovulate again.

It can take many months for your hormones to regulate to the stage where it is the idea conditions to become pregnant.

If you are still not ovulating after six months of being off the pill, then there night be something else going on and this is only something your doctor can investigate.

Most Helpful Guy

  • From my understanding, some women may have to wait up to a year after coming off BC before they can get pregnant.

Most Helpful Girls

  • It can take up 3 years for ovulation to come back from some types of birth control.
Ovulation also lasts not even 24hrs, so it may even just be your tests are not at the right time to catch your ovulation.

  • This isn't the best place for TTC advice. Go on Glow and join a ttc community there and ask this question. The women there will be able to give you better answers

  • First, your English is fine! 😊 Second, I'm going to tag a nurse that can probably be of more help than I can.

    • @prettypriya Thanks, for the tag! Unfortunately, this is a little of the scope of my specialty. After some wl quick Google searching, it looks like you're doing things that help already. I also saw that like the first 2 pages of Google results we ads or companies and not for sources, soooo... I think the best thing Thad you can do right now, is work on being healthy until you see your doctor. They'll be able to help you much more than I or Google will!! Good luck!!!

    • @SecretsofKB You are welcome. Wasn't sure if different types of BC take varying times. I know mine is a certain time period once you stop. Others, I have heard are longer. Wasn't sure if you knew. Perhaps the asker can look up her BC medicine online and see if they have info on that.

  • Big dick = super pregnant fast!

  • Seems like you have done all you can do.
