Why did I cry after my boyfriend and I slept together?

So I slept with my boyfriend and after I had a really big orgasm I cried, it has almost happened a few times before and it just starts out of nowhere and it’s so weird.
Why would this be happening?
I was happy and it wasn’t like I was very sad or anything like that?

  • It is just an emotional release. Not positive or negative. It is just that the intensity of the experience causes you to react viscerally and emotionally. It has happened to me at least twice - and I am a guy.

My girlfriend thought it was sweet, too - and in retrospect, especially the first time it happened, I felt really close to her. I just wanted and needed her and that came out in tears. I just sort of buried my head in her chest and cried and sniffled a bit and I remember telling her how much I loved her.

However, when I recovered, so to speak, at the time I just wanted to put a bag over my head. I remember wiping my eyes and saying to her, "Boy, you really got a macho guy when you met me, huh?"

She just smiled and kissed me - which helped. Then, as I usually do after sex, I started to fall asleep. When I woke up I felt better - and just kept thinking to myself, "Who was that guy last night?"

Yet, it happened again. Not sure entirely sure why other than I just had this gut level need for her. In retrospect though - and here I know I sound like a total mush - it was beautiful in its way.

Okay - so the macho thing is totally dead.

  • Believe it or not, you might cry during sex simply because you are overwhelmingly happy. This might be because you are having sex with a partner you love deeply or really enjoy sex with your partner. So, don't hold back and let the tears flow if you find yourself crying because you are so ecstatic.

It can be an intimate bonding moment between you and your partner. It's, of course, essential to communicate that you are crying because you are just so happy so that you don't alarm your partner.

  • I've personally never had this happen to me, but I have heard about it happening. I think it is kind of a sensation overload. A friend admitted it once, and she also cried during a massage due to the skin stimulation. That might be what it was.

  • I had a partner who cried after climax too. Some women do. It didn't bother me. I was impressed that she was so moved. Just accept it. I hope your partner does to.

  • The moment was filledwith emotions you didn't grasp until later. It's not abnormal to feel like that

  • That is not crying, but moaning
