One can see it if they look hard, but the lighting in this picture puts that area in shadow and it is hard to see. I imagine that with different lighting is does stand out. As for looking "bad", that depends on what you think is bad. To most guys that can see it, it probably looks great! Pretty sure the guys that were lucky enough to see it thought it was great, not bad at all!
My speedos were a lot more revealing at the pool than your outfit there is. I wouldn't worry about it, or if it bothers you, than wear some kind of athletic supporting undergarment underneath.
Otherwise, I think it's fine as is and I'm sure most people would agree.
