Do you consider 18 a woman?

I know 18 and 19 year olds are legally adults

but eight-teen and nine-teen are both still technically a teenager so I don’t consider females of this age to be a woman.

Superb Opinion

  • From what I have seen, usually 16 year old girls are just as mature mentally as women in their early 30s. No, that doesn't mean that a teenager is mentally mature, it means that once they reach that age women usually don't mature/progress much mentally for 20 years.
Then by their mid 30s from life experience they become more mature and realize what they should have done in life, which decisions were mistakes, and then they get angry that they are no longer acceptable and can't get/qualify for what they want in life because of their past decisions.

    • Well that's just cheerful 😀

  • Eight-teen and Nine-teen are both made up words that so happen to have teen on the end. If in the past someone could of called twenty, two-teen instead. Would then all sudden mean there not mean there an adult?
What if one is to call Ninety, Ninety-teen. Are they no longer a adult?

I don't agree with such logic lol.

    • Ninety-teen is not an English word

    • I know. That's my point.

    • But eighteen and nineteen are real English words. There not made up

  • I consider anyone of the female gender a woman.

I usually use the terms “girls” and “women” interchangeably when it comes to it, because no matter what age, we still are considered women or girls. I don’t really focus on specifics of age when choosing what to call them. In general, I probably would call any female 18+ a woman, because well… They are women, doesn’t matter if 18 or 19 year olds still have -teen at the end of their age.

  • Any female who has reached puberty is technically a woman. But like others have said, girl is acceptable to me too.

  • Yes. Old enough to serve military

  • I asked this before.
    Physically and legally, yes.
    Mentally, no, not at all.
I wouldn't date or pursue an 18 year old woman.

  • If they have their own place a job and pay bills I consider them an adult.

  • Depends on the person
Some mature earlier than others but usually I'd say they are still just teens

  • Most are physically mature by 18 but some are not quite there.

  • I guess the law says she is but my kids are all older than that and they and all their friends are still kids to me.

  • Nope, that's still a kid, sort of. 25 is a woman.

  • Biologically maybe. But mentally you're still a kid till you're like 25-30

  • legally yes but she can't automatically mentally become an adult because she was a teen once (17) sooo mentally no

  • An 18 year old female is a young woman.

  • Yes I do, depends on the gal on the maturity level, but legally she is a woman/adult

  • If they’re old enough to fight for this country they’re old enough to be a woman

  • There’s a difference between a legal adult and a real man/woman. A real “grown up” is responsible and mature.

  • I was definatley a man at 18 .

  • I’m not sure why the semantics matters? If ur saying that 18 and 19 yr olds aren’t responsible for the adult decisions they make then ur wrong

  • Technically, yes.

  • No, since insurance considers EVERYONE an adult, at 26

  • I consider 15 a woman and let me tell you why because most women reach their adult height by 15

  • I wouldn't date them but yes they are women

  • Growing girl
