Most women getting abortions didn’t use contraceptives or birth control true or false?

It seems to me that the majority of women getting abortions didn’t use contraceptives or birth control. I’m not per se against abortion but it 100% gives lots of people an excuse to not use condoms or birth control. If u really think about it there is almost no reason anyone should ever need an abortion if they were being safe. A very significant number of women I know have gotten abortions and I highly doubt most if anybody them were being safe beforehand.

  • I highly doubt that there are many women who use “It’s okay if I get pregnant, I’ll just get an abortion teehee” as an excuse.
As someone else mentioned, abortions are not a quick and easy process. You don’t just walk in the clinic and come out an hour later being perfectly fine.
Shit just happens man. A lot of women do get pregnant even while on birth control, none of the methods have a 100% chance of preventing pregnant.
Birth control also affects womens bodies a lot. A lot of women don’t want to take a pill or have an IUD inserted because there are a lot of side affects.
I have a friend who is getting her birth control removed (she has the arm implant thingy) because it causes her to have her period twice a month for like 7 days each. And she said at first she was bleeding for an entire month.

Plus y’all put so much pressure on the woman to have to be careful about birth control. Men can take action to prevent unwanted pregnancies too. I mean a man can impregnate a different woman every single day, while women can only get pregnant once a year. So maybe it’s time we implement more ways for men to prevent it

    • Having years of unprotected sex seems like a good trade off for possibly needing an abortion one day. The amount of women who just flat out have not even wanted to use a condom with me proves my idea at least in my head. A lot of women really don’t even try

  • You make it seem like an abortion is some quick in and out fun hunky dory thing

    • It kinda is. It’s not even a surgery in most cases and takes less than 30 mins. It’s as simple in most cases as getting a needle poked in ur stomach with anesthesia. Thats really not that bad. A colonoscopy is worse I’d say. And I’ve had multiple of those
