Why are boobs so taboo?

Throughout history boobs have been considered taboo, they’re honestly nothing different aside from mens boobies. Sure they produce breast milk when pregnant but there’s no difference, I don’t believe any man or official should have control over women’s bodies.

Some people (not all) think tits, and especially, nipples, should be taboo. I disagree. Plus, that's not necessarily the law everywhere. But it's true that many people would be SHOCKED by the sight of bare boobs. LOL And, unfortunately, nipples seem to be taboo in media and social media for some reason. I don't get it. I guess they feel that underage children would be traumatized by the sight boobies. "Protect the children!" LOL How absurd. What could be more calming and wholesome than the sight of boobies? But it's okay for those same children to be subjected to images of violence and death.

Sexualizing tits makes boys even more desperate to enjoy them and perpetuates the problem of objectifying women.

The thing is, men's chests are pretty unremarkable. But women's tits are noticeable. They stick out and have a lovely shape. (Okay, some aren't lovely). Women's nipples look like tempting candies perched on the pointed tips. In contrast to men, many women's nipples are prominent and some areolas are large. Tits jiggle, bounce and sway. They are silky smooth, soft and tender. So there is a big difference between men's and women's chests.

Both men and women admire the sight of nice breasts. But men long to feel them, give them a bounce and a squeeze. Men are drawn to nipples like moths to a flame.

Tits are uniquely feminine. When men think of feminine, they think of sex.

Women cross their arms beneath their breasts and cuddle them often. When a man has the opportunity to stand behind or next to a woman and cradle her breasts in the same way it's 1000 times better than holding a warm kitten. Women take their own breasts rather for granted. But a man finds them fascinating and gets endless pleasure from touching and squeezing their warm, silky-smooth softness with his hands, or gathering them up in his arms. A man can lay his cheek upon their rolly polly softness or press his face deep into them. It feels like being nurtured. Or a woman can dangle them above him for a view of their ultimate shape and mobility. And, if they are large enough, tittie fucking - actual sex with them - is an option.

Not to mention the fact that tits, not just the nipples, are erogenous. A girlfriend once told me that tittie play and nipple stimulation went straight to her pussy.

So even though I oppose laws and restrictions on the sight of boobs, I do understand why they are erotic. They're erotic to me. That's why I love the sight. It cheers me up. It's like sunshine on a cloudy day. I would never be creepy or touch a woman without her consent, though. I think women should have the freedom to dress as they wish.

In my opinion breasts have become sexualized instead of taught they are a way to feed and nurture babies, but I also think that America is so repressed in sexuality that even legs are considered sexual lol. When it comes to violence though anything goes. Nothing is TOO taboo about that, because American's love violence more than anything. They were taught that way. In foreign countries like Germany you can watch commercials of dance clubs and women are dancing with their shirts off and not a single person is messing with them.

So in my opinion I think that the repression of sexuality and lack of education on what they are used for attributes to them being taboo. They aren't inherently, but if you teach big toes are sexy and a part of sex, Americans will ban them as well lol.

Other mammals don't even have visual mammary glands until AFTER the birth of offspring. We display ours ALL THE TIME. So they are for attraction more than for feeding infants.

So, keeping them slightly veiled is important. Don't want to detract from the attractant!

If most women were to go topless, it would be common enough that it would not be such a big deal. Guys would still enjoy seeing them, but they would not become such dogs about it. But if it were legal to be topless everywhere, most women probably would not, at least in the US, but at least you could do it when you wanted to.

i think it’s a lot to do with religion (especially puritan types) than a lot of other reasons.

if you go to European beaches or naturist beaches, they just become background noise as it’s so common.

Since WW2 Japan has been heavily influenced by Western culture. Though, yes, anime boobs are quite the spectacle. Comparing breasts to penises isn't a good argument to me. For the same reason indescribed prior, breasts are not a sexual organ. Their sole biological function is for feeding, lest they just exist. Whereas a penis has the specific function for sex (and of course peeing). It's better to compare genitalia against genitalia and nothing more. If I walk with my vagina out, yeah I can see that being an issue. Decency is full of gray areas because what's decent for one community/culture doesn't necessarily meet the expectations of for another. And I'll use a relatively unique example. Take a nudist beach. Almost everyone's naked. No one bats an eye. Decency there is respecting everyone around you by maintaining space, not gawking at anyone, and being mindful of the people around you when trying to take pictures. Indecency there is the opposite of what I described. Additionally, breasts have only really been considered obscene in more recent history. In the Roman empire and French culture it was quite fashionable and normal for high class women to have 1 or both breasts out. Wasn't until the rise of Christianity and the church that it started being considered obscene. Not mention how Europe's reliance on the church caused the Dark Ages and technologically set us back almost 1000 years, but who's counting. I've heard women chastise men for simply being men and how we should all be lesbians. It's a retarded notion. Unfortunately, just like Amber Heard, the actions and voices of shitty people are often far too loud even when they're few in number. Side note: breastfeeding in public is protected by law throughout most of the world.

In Western culture (if not most of the planet), a woman walking out in public topless is indecent, so this point is irrelevant. It's not like this is just "an American thing" (not that I'm living in the US right now, anyway).

I brought up bare breastfeeding, because *to me*, that is inappropriate and indecent (it's not like it's hard to just use a feeding curtain), and in many places, yes, that is illegal. But so many women have this arrogant "f*ck everyone else; I'll do what I want" Karen attitude about society and will invoke the "sexism" card whenever people disagree. I have zero fucks left to give about anyone in modern society accusing me of being an -ist or a -phobe, so the accusation bounces off me like rubber. (Not saying you said that, but that's how so many women justify their crappy behavior, "I get my way 100% of the time, or you're a misogynist."

Breasts aren't really even "obscene" are "taboo." They're sexual. There's a time and place for them. At no point did I lay any blame on men nor their sexuality, nor did i even mention them. You've been brought it up on your own. You've seen in some if my other comments that women are equally to blame for a lot of this bullshit. To make a long argument short, EVERYTHING about "boobs are sexual and indecent" falls apart when you realize that, just over a century ago, my ankles being exposed would mean I'd get slapped with indecent exposure or worse. You also brought up societynas a whole. If this were the case, if this was such the problem it's being made out to be, why are more and more people calling for the right to be able to bare breasts wherever a man can? It's Not taboo... It's most beautiful part of a girl no matter it's small or big..
