I've lived three places that had a hot tub. I liked them but didn't use them all that much. One was a redwood hot tub up in the hills. I liked going out there at night and stare at the stars.
I haven't used one for over 20 years though. Now I have to settle for a hot bath. I make it nice and hot and put on a music CD or two. Then kick back. Maybe have a glass of wine, or mug of coffee or hot chocolate.

I love hot tubs. Had one all through growing up, and had one for a while at the house I now own until it died right at the start of COVID lockdowns (when my financial outlook was unknown and I didn't feel comfortable buying another one). If inflation hadn't jacked the prices through the roof I'd have another one now. My wife and I used it nude most of the time, as did some friends.

I loved ours. We had a 15 person in-ground, with wrap around seating the dogs loved to loop with, until recently. Too bad our tree snapped our natural gas line to the pool.

  @trueconfection Oh yes. You could swim across. The best were early Christmas parties for cake stirring and the pool in sept. Then we would soak the cake in Brandy until Christmastime and do it again to soak and eat cake. @charliefrwts329 We already put two dozen huge holes in the bottom and half filled it. Terribly sad about that. But removing rainwater was a pain in the arse!!

My first house I had one on the deck overlooking the lake.
That was well worth the money, many nights were spent in there with my date of the week.
