Information to address FAQ's: Hygiene was a top concern from the outset. It has been addressed systematically. The anal uterus merges with the large colon about 6 inches from the external sphincter. This is done to minimize crossflow while still being able to take advantage of the extreme elasticity of the sphincter (which can actually be trained to stretch wider than the vagina)
