I usually don’t get too affected by movie scenes even if they’re graphic, but I usually get super disturbed by any rape /sexual assault scenes.
Probably bc I’m a victim of that shit myself so it usually hits a little too close to home for me 😳
For example: in 13 Reasons Why, the scene where they hold the guy down and shove the broom stick up his butt…Shut that shit off right now 💀
The scene where Hannah kills herself is disturbing too. They literally had to remove it from the show
There was this episode in Star Trek: TNG where Riker and others were barely able to get sleep while having the weirdest dreams.
Then it was getting so counter-productive and so Riker checked into the medical lab and Dr. Crusher did a check-up on him and found through an x-ray that his arm had been severed off and reattached.
Then it was like, "WTFFFF!" Even though it wasn't very violent (I'm a horror fan), I was so disturbed. Because imagine losing sleep at night all the time and having weird dreams and going to the clinic to check out what's wrong with you and then they discover that your limbs have been severed off and surgically reattached without you knowing about it. Scary!
Also, his arm had been surgically amputated and reattached only with the slightest imprecision, like a micrometer off in reattachment. OMG! Imagine if we had that technology where we could kidnap each other and surgically remove each other's limbs and reattach them with only the barest imprecision and the person not noticing except they feel terrible each time they wake up.
Yes. Some months ago we watched a movie that was basically one of those movies that have a very hostile animal. The end was basically an entirely different…thing. It went from a film about a big bad woof to skinning a human while they are alive, ripping their face off and throwing it at police. BWAA
Agree with you about the broom scene in 13 reasons why, that disturbed me a lot. The bridge scene at the start of final destination 5 disturbed me, it was just over the top gory, organs going everywhere, people getting impaled, bleh, it was gross. But I guess that’s what final destination movies are known for. Also the scene from Teeth where the dudes dick gets bitten off, even though it’s not gory, it still disturbed me a little.
In Stranger Things season 1, Troy is taunting Mike when they thought Will was dead, calling him a fairy, where he's all "Happy and gay" Eleven made him piss his pants, but in season 4 when Angela and her cronies humiliated her, Mike just stood there and did nothing. The more the series progresses, the less I like him

I don't remember the name of the movie. There was an extremely long and graphic rape scene that I had to skip.
He ends up killing her (very brutally) and the rest of the movie is about her husband trying to find the man responsible. You find out at the end that she was pregnant and he never finds the guy.
They made us sit through that just for the husband to not find him. Made me angry.

Agreed. Leaving you empty just makes you want to avoid that producer the next time. It’s why I dislike Steven King. Has no idea how to end a book. Even Chris Carter (creator of The XFiles ) rewrote the ending of the Steven King episode. lmao Pissed him off too. 🤣 Carter wasn’t about to produce junk.
