my period was supposed to come a couple of days ago, and its being a bitch and not coming on time.. but anyways... I was hoping it would come 'on time' so that it wouldn't be around when I go see my guy friend... i'm so worried about him inviting me to hangout and then not being able to have sex, because I'll be on my period... we're kind of in a friends with benefits situation... and we don't get to spend a lot of time together so we usually like to sex it up when we see each other... i'm definitely not up for the period sex, so that rules me out.. i just can't help but to think that I think he'll be letdown if we hang out and don't do anything because I'm on my period at the time... yes these are the things I worry about... what can I do? just tell him? avoid hanging out till my periods gone? I know I could just focus on him and just give him head--but it usually takes him a while to come without playing with me... i hate being a girl...

It's not a big deal. Guys understand it's a natural part of life. You don't need to give all the intimate details (he doesn't need a chart regarding flow levels, hormonal balance, deviations from standard day cycles, amount of raw cookie dough consumed), just, "This isn't a great time of the month for me," is usually enough for even the thickest frat boy to decode.

Most guys with a brain stem aren't disappointed. You have no control over it and we all have to just accept it and move on. If he's not 13 years old or a monk, he should be fine.

Expand your erotic repertoire. You should be able to come up with more ideas than period sex and head. Take a trip to the bookstore, or an adult bookstore, or even a strip club.

if you guys are FWB then when he calls/txts to hang out I'd just tell him then because if you're relationship is just about sex and you don't want to have sex because you're on your period then there's no point in hanging out with him that night. just be honest with him you don't have anything to lose and if he's pissed/overly disappointed then no big loss he's just a FWB they're a dime a dozen you can pick up a new one no problem.
