Handcuffs in bed. Yes or no?

Ever use them? Do you recommend them? Or not? Guys and girls opinions on it.

  • I've used them before, but WARNING: you have to be VERY careful with handcuffs, because they can cause serious injuries pretty easily. You can't really struggle in them too much, or be placed in positions where you struggle against them, or you can end up with big bruises and damaged tissue around the wrist. Also, make DAMN SURE you have a handcuff key handy in case the person panics and you need to get them off quickly.

    For most sex/BDSM, and especially for beginners, I strongly recommend using leather cuffs instead. They are much wider, and are usually lined with something soft. You can struggle against them a lot and not hurt yourself or mark yourself up.

    I had a girl with a HUGE "uniformed authority" fetish (she liked to roleplay being "abused" by uniformed men in authority: cops, soldiers, government agents, etc.), and she loved being handcuffed, but I was always careful not to put too much pressure on her arms or wrists, or to leave her in painful positions for very long while she was wearing them. As long as you respect the potential danger they can bring, you can play with them without a problem, but if you don't really trust your partner and their knowledge of these tools, then I can't recommend them.

  • I've never used handcuffs, but my girlfriend and I have used like towels, shirts, or pillowcases as restraints to tie one of us down to the bed or in a chair.

    It's not a matter of "recommending" them because it's not like you're going to die tomorrow lol...try handcuffing/restraining if you want. It's not the last thing you'll ever do.
