Are pansexuals the sluts of our society?

Pan-sexuals will do anything, regardless of what they are. Bi-sexuals only sleep with male and or female but pan-sexuals will sleep with transsexuals, cross-dressers etc.. They don't see the person as a gender, they see them as a person. Does that make them the sluts of our society since they have no limit?

  • Why you gotta be like that? Why do you have to slut-shame a person for being cool with having sex with pretty much anyone ("anyone" in the sense that they don't care about gender or identity)? Just because they're cool with it or open to the idea, it does NOT mean that they go around and have sex with every single person they ever meet "just because". My friend is discovering that she might be pansexual, but she's still a virgin and she doesn't like the thought of having sex with someone she's not in a committed relationship with. How does being pansexual make her a slut, when she's quite the opposite of what society deems a "slut"? Being pansexual means that you're open-minded when it comes to other people's genders and identities. It does NOT mean that you'd bang anything that moves, or that you're willing to have multiple sexual partners and/or act in a way that others would perceive as "slutty".
Honestly. Can you not. And why do you even care about what pansexuals do behind closed doors? It's none of your business anyway, so why do you have to act as if it is? Why do you have to act like you have the right to label another human being?

    • It's called being close-minded and judgmental, that's why.

    • Sigh sigh sigh... so judgmental

    • If you weren't even one tiniest bit judgmental, then why did you even ask this question? It should be pretty damn obvious that pansexuals aren't sluts just because they don't give a shit about genders or identities, crossdressing and whatnot.

  • Firstly, no, pansexuals are not necessarily promiscuous. Just like heterosexual people don't just sleep with ANYONE of the opposite sex, pansexuals don't sleep with just anyone at all. They can feel sexual attraction to anyone, regardless of sex or gender, but that doesn't mean all of them sleep with just anybody indiscriminately.

Secondly, your definition of bisexual is incorrect. Bisexuals are attracted to their own sex and others. "Bi" doesn't mean male and female. It means same gender and other. That means bisexuals can be attracted to genderqueer or gender fluid people as well. What differentiates them from pansexuals is that bisexuals may prefer certain genders or certain sexes, whereas to pansexuals, gender and sex don't matter.

  • Personally, I couldn't care less who other people want to sleep with. Opposite gender, transsexuals, cross-dressers... whatever floats your boat.

"Sluts" are people who simply sleep around without caring about the consequences of their actions. Just because someone is a pansexual doesn't automatically mean they are a slut. I'm sure they still have their own set of standards like people of any other sexual orientation.

    • But wouldn't that just make them bi-sexuals if you're saying that they do have standards/limits?

    • No. If someone identifies as being pansexual then that's what they are. By standards, I'm talking about physical attraction to the person. They might not want to sleep with EVERY transsexual or cross-dresser or whoever it may be but they will if it's someone they like... that doesn't automatically make them a "slut."

    • They could easily just have identified as a Bi-Sexual, but they chose Pan-sexual. What I'm asking isn't about what they are in terms of orientation, I'm talking about their actions.

  • personally, i don't really see a distinction between a transsexual and someone who is simply gay. I mean, they may behave differently in society or whatever, but when it comes to sex it's going to be pretty much exactly the same thing as having sex with anyone else of their gender.

But anyway, anyone with a penis can not be a slut. The reason women can be 'sluts' is because it's a "surprise" when they want sex for the sake of sex - a pleasant surprise, but a surprise nonetheless. However, a man wanting sex is the opposite of a surprise.

    • The gender parts of the transsexual changes, but the sexual orientation doesn't change.

    • What do you mean a man wanting sex is the opposite of a surprise. Are you saying men are sexual creatures and women aren't?

    • @normalice, "But anyway, anyone with a penis can not be a slut." Do I smell double standards?

  • I'm not sure what it has to do with promiscuity.

I suspect a heterosexual woman can find multiple new partners a day for the rest of her life. Adding lesbians and transsexuals to her available targets is not actually going to help her get laid more.

  • No. Being pansexual does not mean that they have wild orgies in the middle of the street with a hanging sign that says "pansexual".

It simply means that they are open to dating anyone regardless of gender or sexual orientation.

    • But if you have more options that would mean more "conquests"

    • Not necessarily. There are bisexual people who've only been with one or two people. Having more options doesn't mean that you actually do them all.

    • But bi sexuals, limit themselves, less options

  • Yeah, in my country Turkey, some of pansexual people exist but I am respectful for everybody and every sexual idendification. Thus, I've never judged anybody for their pansexual personality. Besides that, I am also bisexual and I sometimes sleep with my lesbian girlfriends, she also has extremely pleasure with me... I like all peesonality... Maybe gays also... Namely, all people choose their own preference. There's no problem...

  • I don't believe in using the word "slut" to characterize sexually active people. I only characterize as "sluts" and "whores" people of both gender who decide to sleep with taken people.

    • Called adultery not being a slut

  • No
    It's about attraction, not sex.

    • They're having sex with anyone, regardless of what that person is though. More options means more "conquests"

    • That's not having sex with anyone. One could ask if heterosexuals the sluts of society

  • No, Pansexuals just love people regardless of their gender. I'm sure some of them are perverts but others care more about things like inner beauty of the individual like I have a friend who was a lesbian who is dating a Trans-men and I don't think she is a slut. She loves her girlfriend even though she wants to be a boy , they are just very loving because her gf was just born in the wrong body.

    • I am sorry, I meant to upvote -_-'.

    • its ok Lol

  • I only like women. But there are probably millions of women who I would deem attractive enough to sleep with. Does that make me a man-whore? Just because you are attracted to many people doesn't mean you sleep around.

  • Reading the answers on here I'm once again shocked at the double-standards coming from so many men. It sickens me.

    • And people wonder why feminism still exists... it's because of disgusting statements and double standards like the ones below.

    • Indeed, for all the guys asking why feminism still exists...

  • "They don't see the person as a gender, they see them as a person."
What's slutty about seeing more at someone's personality than at his/her gender? Isn't that what happens between friends?

    • Then why are guys and girls "just friends"?

    • (Testing comment)

    • Thanks for testing it out

  • Lol what the hell? There can be monogamous bisexuals and pansexuals. I don't see how being pansexual or bisexual means you have to sleep around more or be irresponsible doing so.

  • No? I'm pansexual. I don't sleep around I'm just attracted to people as a person not what they have in their pants

  • Good question. I actually would say yes they are.
