How long do you wait on someone to confirm plans?

Me and this guy are making plans to spend a night together. A week prior to the day I sent him a message asking what his status was for our plans. He has read the message on fb but has not replied but it has only been one day. How long should I give him before I move on? Im a workaholic and I asked for a night off and I'm trying to use it wisely.

I'd only wait until new plans come along. Start messaging your friends and get something in place. You've already waited 24 hrs and you know he's read it. I don't know many guys who would let that opportunity slip by for very long if they were really wanting it to happen. If he's really interested, he'll get the hint when he messages back and you've already made other plans, and step it up faster next time.
