I think it goes back to an instinct. If you really like a guy your brain subconsciously craves it. Your brain/body wants to reproduce and it knows what to do to make it happen. One of my exes was really let down when she found she couldn't use birth control and had to use a condom cuz she wanted me to finish inside her.
I don't believe most girls like swallowing, it's a minority. And some that like it really enjoy it, making it feel them hot, and it could have some psychological effect on her as well. I do believe most girls that like to swallow will feel sexy, but a minority may just do it to pleasure the guy - not really liking it.
I definitely view it as something additional I can do to be intimate with him. I know that he finds it super sexy as well so knowing that, it makes me feel a lot hotter as well. That makes the whole experience a lot more exciting for me, and I definitely prefer to swallow than for him to finish on my chest/stomach.
I would say I def do feel closer to the guy, since at least for me anything sexual I do w/ a guy is intimate in some way... so sharing that experience w/ him is a connection and I hope that the guy would feel the same way too.
