So apparently my friends have said it hurts like a big jab at first but after the first few minutes you get more comfortable depending on how wet and relaxed you get. But for me, the guy was pretty above average and kept hitting my cervix, so sex hurt the whole time and I couldn't really enjoy it - upside though was that the next guy I had sex with didn't hurt at all and it felt amazing! As far as how to prepare, definitely try to to over think it and just relax. That way you'll open up down there and it'll be way easier for your guy to get inside you. Just try to let him go all the way and get it over with because if you stop him early he may not break your hymen all the way and the next time you have sex it'll still hurt.

I lost mine to my best guy friend, who had a lot of experience. For me it hurt for awhile and then it was just uncomfortable. I think a lot of it has to do with nerves and not relaxing! The 2nd time was much better because you know what to expect and its not so awkward! Make sure whoever you lose it to is someone you trust and is willing to go slow at first. It hurts because your vagina isn't used to being stretched like that and depending on the girl it can also be from their hymen breaking. A girl can also bleed from their hymen breaking. And I have only had sex twice (same guy my boyfriend) and it hasn't stopped hurting yet. I suggest lube.

My personal opinion is yes, it hurts, but the second time you get a better idea of what to do. I also think it depends on his experience as well. Like if he's willing to guide you step by step or expect you to know some things he might want. I lost mine to an ex boyfriend last month and he's done it twice. We tried 3 different positions but I think the most comfortable is when I was on top. It didn't hurt as much and it's easy to do. I was sore the next day but it's not unbearable.
