Why oh WHY do women like Johnny Depp?!

I think being able to understand the Depp thing is key to understanding what women consider sexy. Edward Scissorhands? Ugly as sin. Willy Wonka, really?!?! Biggest creep-out of my life. I understand that he has huge cheekbones and jawlines, but seriously if you spend 1 minute looking at clothing ads, don't you find hotter guys? Yes you do. Often women say he's mysterious and can play any role. I think it's because he's ethnic-looking, plays rebellious and emotional characters, is dark-haired, and has a nice voice. What do you think? What's really interesting to me is that he has never been buff in his life and he wasn't super-popular until Pirates of the Carribean.

Ah, the sinful question.

Many women find him attractive for many different reasons: a.) women are genetically programmed to be attracted to a man of his similar bone structure. For instance, notice how his upper body is well built, with defined collarbones and shoulders. Women are biologically engineered to be attracted to men with very well-defined upper bodies, for when we were considered "defenseless", men were our protectors (and what better feature to protect than strong arms?), and, of course, his tan skin and dark hair. Unromantically enough, if you use your imagination, Johnny sort of resembles a 3000 times more attractive Neanderthal. This is why a higher percentage of women are attracted to men with darker skin and darker hair - how many times in your life have you seen a re enactment of a pale or fair skinned homosapiens? , b.) he has many mysterious qualities to him. I.e. Many of the roles he plays are sort of dark, brooding, quiet, sweet, funny, or just downright sexy, and c.) because he is very private. As you walk through the grocery stores past the magazine aisle, notice how repetitive the covers are ( for instance, "Britney pregnant AGAIN?", or something else about Brangelina)? Well now think about how many times a week Johnny Depp shows his face on the cover of People. Almost never, right? This makes women respect him a hell of a lot more, because it shows that even with his outstanding and overwhelming fame, he manages to keep himself private. He is also a wonderful father, which notes that he has a caring personality and has no trouble nurturing his loved ones.

But um, I don't know. He's a decent actor. Obviously in roles like Edward Scissorhands he isn't at his most attractive, but he does have his moments. And you've got to hand it to him for the range of characters he's capable of acting as.

Well first of all he's extremely talented and I think many women (myself included) find that attractive. Second of all it's the mysteriousness, that you mentioned, that makes him interesting and by proxy attracts women. He also has a rare quiet intensity about him that's very sexy.

Yes.She's overracted.Had it not been for Maxim magazine no one would even know who she was.I knew about her long before Transformers.Johnny Depp,I just do not understand the appeal of him.And this is coming from a Bisexual person

Guys don't like actresses for their acting: There once was an actress who danced nude on a mattress. But critics boo-ed her role As "dull & presuming" But for men on the street It was love at first meet for they enjoyed the position she's assuming.

There's just something about him, he seems to tick all the boxes and he is just sooo hot, his hair, face and eyes just all seem to be different to other guys. It's his individuality and sex appeal that attracts so many women, including me.
