Masterbating/cleaning vagina with a shower head?

so recently I've been 'cleaning' my vagina with a shower head. I didn't realize that it could increase the risk of infection. I've only done it twice; yesterday and today in the shower. am I going to get an infection? what is the likelihood of getting an infection? I'm kinda scared... (also, I'm not sure if this is even important, but I'm a virgin)

and I've done it on only a medium to low water pressure.

  • I don't think asking guys about this is right people to ask. Yes, forcing water into your vagina can cause infection. All water can have microorganism, although the shower head has fresher water (as apposed to jacuzzi jet which is recycled through the system). Your vagina has microorganisms of it's own to fight off infections but washing them out with water or douche reduces your "army". If you are worried about the few times you have already done it, try having some yogurt. Yogurt has live cultures of lactose bacilli. This is one of the microorganisms your vagina uses to fight off infections. The process of eating it will not kill the lactose bacilli because your body is use to promoting the growth of this helpful microorganisms, not killing it. Also if you are like many women and found the show head experience exciting (sexuality) and would like to continue just point it at your clitoris instead of your vagina. Don't forget there are water proof vibrators if only stimulating the clitoris is just not right for you (just don't use them under the stagnate bath water because that could allow dirty water up there too).

    Hope you fine this helpful.

  • LMFAO..I have never done that because I don't have a detachable shower head, does it feel good? I'm usually the girl that is hanging around the jets in the pool or hot tub and pretending to carry on a convo with you...

  • it's extremely unlikely! and even if you did get an infection, it's not like an STD, it would be something that could easily be taken care of with probably an over-the-counter treatment.

    don't stress out.

  • I would say it depends if you are just using the water or are trying to stick the shower head inside a bit or something. That shower head can have bacteria and mold on it from constant exposure to hot water and this could increase the likelihood of some sort of infection or rash.

  • An infection... from water? Down there?

  • If you had used high pressure chances are you'd no longer be a virgin, so should be fine. As for infections, twice within 2 days would only bring on chlamydia, but front front to back wiping should clear this up for you no probs ;)

  • Ok so I done, it just to clean it feel pretty amazing so I did my think, I then done it again, mind you I did end up on highest pressure :/ and I ended up getting the worst case of thrush/uti ever!!! Its been 6 days and on antibiotics and still so sore, and swollen.. Couldn't wipe for a few days.. And my period came a few days later and I got the most insane clots, I've had both an abortion and a miscarriage, also an ectopic. I don't know if it will stop me from doing it again though lol
