Why is so much effort expended to hide female nipples, while males are free to expose theirs? Do you ever wish you had equal breast rights?

Girls can go topless in Canada. Just another reason why Canada is more awesome than the US. Unfortunately because of American influence most girls don't drop the top though.

An ex of mine and I used to go on naked walks after dark when we were dating sometimes. It is quite liberating to just walk down the street totally naked. This one kid biked past us about 6 times though once. It is really funny to walk past someone on the street when you are naked. They don't know how to react. We also had sex later on a tennis court one time, that was pretty hot. I don't have a problem with being nude in public or having sex in public. It would be fair for women to have the option but honestly life isn't fair. I mean when I was five I remember my brother could walk around with no shirt I was told not to because I am a girl and its not proper (even though I was completely flat). At that time I was like what the hell but now I kinda realize why women don't. It's just a bit taboo. Female nipples are used for something, where as male nipples really have no purpose. The only reason males have them is because they are formed while in the womb before the sex of the baby has begun developing. Nipples/breasts are a "private part" on women. It's something you don't want to just let all men see right away. It's something they should work for. Men don't go around letting their testicles hang out.. well.. most men.

I didn't mean they're taboo for that reason. I just mean it's not really looked well upon to just... show your breasts in public like that. For the same reason the other girl said, most men have flat chests, women don't. They come in all different shapes and sizes. Granted, some men DO have breasts.. and they usually cover them up. It's just different. It's something in society that is looked down upon. Our society, at least. Go to Africa. You'll see topless women there basically all the time.

I don't really wish I had an option. Takes more mystery out of dating. Takes a bit of fun out of the challenge of getting to know someone and letting them in on those parts of you. But that's just me. I'm sure there are plenty of sluts that would love to show their t*ts to any man who walks by.

In Europe we have equal breast rights. Then again Europe does a lot of things we'd find taboo..

America...we're puritanical, so we put that kind of oozing sex appeal in our advertisements and on TV.

And that's why in America we don't have equal breast rights. Look at ancient cultures, the one's you see on National Geographic, women are topless, men are topless, but both cover their genitalia.

"When you see boobs in all sizes"... I've been often on European beaches. (really often, like a month every summer for 10 years+ in Southern France). Topless is considered quite normal there (bottomless too, on some!) It takes about 15-20 minutes to get used to it. Maximum 30 minutes. After that 'it's just another pair of...' Other men I know have the same reaction. It's hiding body parts that creates mystery and (sometimes extreme) curiosity.

When some women are a bit older they prefer to wear a bikini bra on the beach to hide the sagging of their breasts. (and prefer girls to wear bikini bras too so their husbands can't compare ;-)) Other women don't worry about that but it will be more present in a society where there is more competition..
