Seriously, what is the secret? I don't see breasts as anything sexual. There are just fatty tissue to breastfeed babies, at least for me. Why do you get so turned on, guys? I mean, when I'm not wearing a bra, I often meet with an opinion that I'm doing this just to get some attention (I wear just simple T-shirt then) while what I'm doing is the exact opposite! I'm trying to show that breasts are nothing to fuss about, normal body part, like legs (just for the record I have very small boobs). Yeah they can be beautiful and so on, but why are we so obsessed with them in our culture? Why media promote perky breasts while most of female population's boobs have nothing to do with that image?

Guys, do you honestly expect our chests to look like, I don't know, Hollywood starts/porn starts? I think our view of breasts is really askew.

It's just a cultural thing and social pressure influences.

In Asian, light skin, big eyes and small mouths are the obsession. Here big boobs, ass and tan skin are desired. As males we learn what's the desired taste by media and older males and grow accustomed to liking as such.

In Japan, sensitive, skinny and feminine males are the lust. Girls there find it hot for guys to be confused about their sexuality. Here we'd call the same male gay.

Most guys don't expect things to look like porn, just girls don't expect every guy to be 7 inches, we don't expect to get gravity defying boobs.

What is it about boobs? They look great mashed together and are fun to play with and as far as the obsession, it's in our culture, just like having masculinity and confidence being the attractive features for a male in American culture.

In 3rd world countries, throw all that out the window and money / family is the driving factors.

The vagina does NOT make pee and blood. Pee comes out of the urethra, and blood is made in bone marrow.

We men are visual creatures to say it blunt. Anything that can't be fully seen is an attractant to us. (it's the reason why some men have a feet obsession to). Not only are the breasts something sexual to us, but so is her back(which is usually covered up), her belly button(usually covered up), her tongue, and her ass.(never meant to be something sexual in nature. It's just a hole to "plug" up instead.)

Men will be turned on by anything that gives our imaginations fuel. The average man has a sexual thought at a minimum of 1 per hour.(in his 30's). However to a teenage boy it is roughly one sexual thought per 5 minutes. We think SEX and want it equally. When we see the outline of a woman's breasts under her shirt our imaginations take it and run WILD. The reason men like bigger and perky breasts is you can see more of an outline! He can only imagine what those big breasts look like without that half inch fabric and bra holding them back.

I'm not;p Yeah but e.g in majority of African countries women go around with bare chests and everybody regards it as normal. When an anthropologist said to one woman in Mali, that in our culture men are fascinated with breasts, the woman said "You mean, men act like babies?"

Culture (government, geography, religion, history etc) has a very strong affect on the psyche. it defines what we deem to be attractive properties which is always related to child-birthing. Maybe some African cultures put no emphasis on breasts because some tribes nurse all the babies of the tribe, just not their own. So it wouldn't matter if a woman had small breasts because the rest of the women would pick up the slack.

Boobs are curvy. Curves are a biological indication that a woman is fertile. Guys typically like curves.

Boobs are typically hidden, so that makes them all the more desirable.

Guys don't have their own, so they are something unique to women that is different for us to experience.

Breasts are (hopefully) one of the differences between men and women. So the more different they are than a man's chest, the more womanly a woman is. It's only one difference, but it's one that's "front and center," as they say :-)

I think in general, men are attracted to the "female figure" and breasts just happen to be a part of that figure. Not all men are attracted to breasts as much as other parts though.

. In the parts Africa where women don't cover up their breasts, men don't view breasts as sexual. They reason breasts are viewed as sexual in the west is because women hide them, the same thing happened with 200 years ago, if a woman displayed her ankles, it was viewed as sexual and "wrong".

Solution? walk around naked, because you can't simply argue away this problem. You need to change norms.

Yeah but that would be sacrificing my privacy for lost case ;] I don't want to change the world. But I would like our society not to be so prude and obsessive about boobs. I don't want men to loose interest in our dear breasts, nor girls to walk around naked. But some common sense would be welcome;) Like, not to fuss over breastfeeding mom or Britney Spears without a bra.

Who cares about spears without a bra? Most guys make fun of her and don't like her music. Its the gossip magazines write about that stuff and I have a hard time believing that they aim at attracting male subscribers. And where I live, no one cares about public breastfeeding. Seriously, I have yet to hear anyone say this other than on tv and movies.

I don't know what it is exactly that compels us to love boobs, maybe it's the media or maybe it's just by nature. to me they're beautiful regardless of size (ok I'm kinda lying, ridiculously huge ones are not as beautiful to me). They just seem to add to the feminine figure that guys love so much and playing with them/sucking/all that good sh!t is just something a guy cannot experience on his own...unless you have manboobs I guess? :|

Indeed..I don't think it would be quite as enjoyable as it is with a woman's breasts xD I don't know. I would think if I were a girl I'd be having a field day with them all the time, but I suppose if they're something that's a natural part of your own body, they're not as fascinating or something.

Yeah but that link talked about many other things too. There is a gallery of normal boobs there - boobs of natural and healthy girls. I think it's kinda sad that [generally] young people see only the images of photoshoped and improved by surgery breasts in tv and magazines. Maybe they shouldn't be viewed as a leg, but remember the Janet Jackson boob incident few years back? More people talked about this than about soldiers dying in Iraq. Something's wrong here...

Janet Jackson's boob was a funny topic, so people talked about it because it was entertaining. Talking about our troops in Iraq isn't exactly fun. While it is definitely more of an issue, you can't really compare it like that.

I wasn't comparing them in terms of what's more funny. It was just truly mystifying to me that more people talked about a damn breast (and while yes, some people talked about it in terms of funny, her boob received a lot of serious attention) than about people dying in Iraq or somewhere else. I was trying to show the disproportion, that something as trivial as a nipple received more attention than human tragedy.
