Girls, it's true that ovulation changes sexual attraction and sexual desire?

Many research suggested that while ovulating, women were more likely to have sexual fantasies about a non-partner. It found that when women are ovulating, they are more interested in men with masculine bodies, symmetrical facial features, dominant behavior, and certain body odors. This attraction to men with more masculine characteristics doesn't last all month, just during the height of fertility. During non-ovulation women are less attract to masculine men and more attract to feminin face. Their sexual attraction varies with their menstruation cycle. When they are ovulating they are more attract to men with masculine face and when non-ovulating they are less attract to men with masculine face and more attract to men with feminin face. Their sexual desire also varies with their menstruation cycle. During non-ovulation they feel less sexual desire and think about sex less. Girls, is it true? Do you ever notice any change to you sexual attraction and sexual desire during fertile and non-fertile period?

  • Women become more likely to accept flirtation and advances while ovulating and their appearance changes slightly. Like lips and face becoming a little fuller, hair getting shinier. During menstration we might look a little more terrible and our personality is blah but the hormones we give off during that time attracts men more. I get more male attention while on my period then any other time but it's just hormones signaling fertile female. On your period for some reason you can get hella horny for no reason. Attraction also changes with women on birtcontrol, women on birth control are more likely to be attracted to men with more feminine features and characteristics.

  • I dont notice any change in who I am attracted to. But my desire for sex definitely changes - for the 3 days leading up to my period I am a lot more horny but this would be after ovulation not during.

One weird thing I have noticed is some guys seem to get more protective of me or helpful when I've got my period and yet I haven't told them I've got it... they are obviously picking up on something but I dont know what or why...

    • but i heard when women are ovulated they feel more horny and after ovulation (during non-ovulation) they feel less horny and more attract to men with feminine face. but here you are totally opposite.

    • I had read similar and it makes more sense that you'd be horny during ovulation... tbh, I'm up for it pretty much always, I just get worse those few days before a period and I've read many women do due to changes in hormones at that time. As far as being attracted to different men at different times of the cycle - maybe if I did the study properly (eg every day of my cycle I would look at pictures of guys and rate them) then maybe a pattern would emerge. But I guess id I see an attractive guy I just think he's cute without thinking about whether he has masculine vs feminine features and I dont think about what part of my cycle I'm in.

  • YES. I'm like a dog when I'm ovulating. It's really annoying. My boyfriend works 12 hour days so I'm usually left to do the work these days. Not fun when I want it all the time

  • I have not noticed a change like that, no.

  • You think way too much. Sexual attraction doesn't change much, I know what I like in a guy, and that doesn't vary based on the time of the month. As for desire, probably yes, there is that moment in time that I'm more likely to let a guy get "it" for the first time when we are dating. But once I've started having sex with a guy, I don't really recognize that I'm more likely to get frisky at one time over another.

  • Yes it is a proven fact that during ovulation your libido is higher.

  • Its really interesting! Has ill have to ay more attention to myself I think :)

  • i've never heard about that but all i know is that while i'm ovulating i get way more horny

  • yes, this is a thing. Right now, i'm ovulating I am much more attracted to guys with deeper voices. I don't know why but I get much more turned on by them than any other men

  • I'm not sure if I've ever noticed it changing my sexual attraction. But I think when I was on birth control pills, I would tend to get more horny around my period time.

  • Yeah, it changes alot! Like before my period I get super horny!! And after I'm back to normal

  • Yes. Back before I was on birth control, I had more libido during my assumed ovulation days, coincidentally around the full moon. And here's another fun fact-- my preferences shift to more masculine during my NuvaRing-free week. Haven't gotten laid before or after my last relationship, so I don't have many experiences to use as an example. I kind of need to really know a person and be in love in general before sleeping with someone, but I do feel more lust around my hormonal week before and after period.
