Are guys really horny in the morning?

Some of my friends keep telling me that guys are horny in the morning, I don't believe them because some are perverted idiots but I am curious... are guys really horny or just sleepy?

Testosterone levels are constantly rising and falling for men everyday. The point at which testosterone is the highest level is different for many men. However for all it's essentially when they sleep.(even a nap causes a boost in testosterone production.) When a man sleeps the culmination of melatonin(brain chemical which is what causes drowsiness and sleep) and high levels of testosterone leads to multiple erections throughout the entire sleeping period. The melatonin relaxes the spongy tissue in the penis and the testosterone gives signals to the tissue that the man is aroused(even though he isn't or well isn't being aroused by a real entity). The reason testosterone is the highest when we sleep is our body doesn't need to allocate resources to other important things when we are sleeping(especially when not on a full stomach). So with a lot of less work the body works on things that are needed less.(growth whether it be height, muscle, penis, and/or brain.(applies only when still in growing stage) Repairing body tissues and synthesizing more less needed steroids/chemicals such as dopamine, estrogen(for men), testosterone, melatonin, various enzymes, and proteins.

However just because we wake up with lots of testosterone and a chemical still in our body that makes us drowsy(melatonin) and obviously with drowsiness comes sensitivity(think pain killers) that can easily make us ready to have sex doesn't mean we are necessarily horny. I don't wake up horny. I wake up with a boner and feeling all fuzzy sure, but I just go take a p*ss in the bathroom as the boner goes away and get ready for life lol. Obviously if I lived with a girl whom I could have sex with I might be more inclined, but that is really an unknown. I'm not sure if it would change anything.

MHO has the science but I thought it was an individual thing - Some are night people and others are morning - Other factors come into play, do you go to bed when you are very tired - Do you wake up before the alarm or is it a morning rush - Are we talking work morning or a day off morning - Personally all things being equal probably a day off morning is when I feel it most.

In my experience, it isn't so much that they wake up horny as they wake up ready!

Guys have several erections as they sleep. And sometimes when they wake up, it is still there. So when they wake up and start feeling their crotch pounding, it's pretty natural to start thinking about sex immediately. I mean, shoot, if I woke up with my crotch on fire, I'm sure I'd want sex first thing in the morning too!

So usually "morning wood" leads to them rolling over and pushing it into your butt and asking if you want to have sex cause they are already locked and loaded. Which is probably why your friends think guys wake up horny.

my boyfriend tells me he does get horny in th morning.. he always wakes up with a boner and wishes I was with him.. I personally would love to but since I don't live with him can't do it lol

Typically stress levels are at their lowest and testosterone levels are at their highest right after guys wake up. Those two can help guys be ready to go real quick in the morning. I personally love the am sessions! What a great way to start the day!

This would have to depend on how much sleep we got. If I went to bed at 2 and woke up at 6:30, then I'm definitely not going to be in the mood. If I got a solid 8 hours or more, then I'd be ready to go once I wake up.

Listen to most helpful guy he quotes science fact and a erection is not always a horny erection some are called piss erections designed to help us not piss ourselves, some are morning erections like MHO guy is talking about, and yes some erections are horny erections, but there are erections too that we just have no intention of and have no idea why we have them but we sure as hell know we do have them!
