I can't speak for other girls, but I'm always down for messing around in the morning and I'm not a morning person at all. There are three things that make me way less grumpy in the morning: Coffee, a cigarette, and sex. And if I've had all three, then the day definitely starts out on a good note.
Have you asked her about it? Is she a morning person? The way I think about it is if a guy wakes me up for sex, he must want me pretty bad. He could just jack off. It would be quicker and easier and I'd be none the wiser, not to mention he wouldn't be risking the cranky morning attitude by waking me up. But instead, he'd rather risk that, and being rejected, because he wants to involve me. I'm cool with that.
Maybe SHE thinks of it as you just want to get off in the morning, so you want to use her to do so. If that is how she feels, you need to assure her that that's not the case.
All girls are different. I don't know what to tell you. I'm almost always extremely horny when I first wake up in the morning (sometimes so much so that I actually wake up to find that I've been masturbating in my sleep), but I'm not sure I would really be up for sex first thing in the morning, if only because I usually feel kind of gross when I first wake up, and generally find other people who have just woken up to be kinda gross as well.

Lol, I'd rather have an extra 5-45 minutes of sleep, I like sex at bedtime, & usually wake up thinking about all I need to accomplish that day, & sex just isn't a high priority, especially in the morning. If I have time & energy left at bedtime, fine, if not, maybe tomorrow. If I happen to wake up in the mood it will usually wait till bedtime, if the mood goes away during the day, then it must not have been that important anyway.

Try waking up before her and start playing with her or wake her up with oral. We're not horny in the morning because our head is spinning with everything we have to get done that day the instant we wake up. If you wake her up with something better she won't have time to think about the other stuff plus she'll spend her entire day in a great mood.
